There are quite a few of them around here right now. Been using them on public roads for about 2 years.

Yes a bunch down here also. Google map cars are all driven by remote control but CA law requires a person behind the wheel just in case

Sirus satellite radio acquired the technology from a good friends company to do driverless cars in the near future.

I will be first in line for that chip in my brain so I dont have to think anymore

Sounds like a lot of FUD to me. Electronics and software are not voodoo, they can be reverse engineered and reproduced like anything else. Yes it will be more expensive to repair your car in the future, just like it is today to own a rare antique auto. However us old fogies will understand the old tech, and appreciate it, and hopefully have some time on our hands to keep it working.

And what precedent is there for old autos being outlawed from being driven? Not to say it can't happen, but the coast-to-coast road network in the US isn't going away anytime soon, and it will be decades before self-driving cars are ubiquitous. And there are powerful corporations and well established culture that will be upended before the wholesale replacement of the individually piloted gasoline powered automobile can occur. That said Teslas are pretty damn cool, but expect them to foster greater efficiency in combustion engine cars rather than simply replacing them tomorrow.

Back on topic and the here and now.

I am doing a little bit of restoration work on my now 20 year old 355. To enjoy it in the here-and-now. I am have had problems factory sourcing mostly rubber trim parts, eg. door belt mouldings NLA, A-pillar outer trims NLA and several other things I've been after to tidy up the exterior.

I have needed to search e-bay for second hand or source from non-official dealers. So far I have found what I've needed, but has required a lot of searching around.
