Jonas, get involved in your own country's politics. How, as a resident of Denmark, did you come to hate GWB so much? Is this what The Times are feeding you?

And if you are truly OBJECTIVE, you cannot dispute that Kerry is a chronic liar. Hell, he's been caught on tape at least once over the past week lying!!

Whatever you say Art, I am not going to plaster friends of mine's names all over the internet but PM and I will hook you guys up. They are interesting men indeed, who see what living in a theocracy is like, that's why they are HERE! BTW, never said my friends were terrorists or knew terrorists, I SAID that no matter what drivel makes it's way through the CNN cocktail crowd about the MOTIVATIONS of terrorists being so devout and just wanting to be left alone..blah..blah..blah MY FRIENDS WERE BORN THERE, LIVED THERE AND KNOW WHAT THE TERRORISTS TRUE MOTIVATIONS ARE. If we left the middle east tomorrow do you really think it would stop? Their hatred for all that is the West and modern and progressive would just wither up and die? I don't think so. What I find amusing is their supposed piousness is misdirected. After all it's the Saudis who exploit their oil, selling to their biggest customer, the US, and yet they don't seem too have a problem with that. Why is that you suppose? Perhaps it's because they want their cake and they want to eat it too: take Americas oil money but despise everything about them that makes them need our oil. It's like the Southern plantation owners in 1865, they don't want their slaves to get too uppity.

BTW, if that fat ass Ted Kennedy and the rest of his cronies would get out of the way and drill in Anwar perhaps we could make headway in alleviating the need for this 50+ year cozy relationship with the Saudis. But no..it's FAR more important to protect the natural habitat of the grey-haired, three-toed, one-nut having Alaskan flea hawk or some other nonsense.

And NO ART, I did not serve... and your point is? When I turned 18 I went in to the post office and registered for selective service but, yes, I was fortunate that we were in peace time. So what? That makes you better than me... or somehow inherently more qualified or intelligent to speak to such matters? I don't think so. Fear of losing men cannot and should not be a justification for inaction. Good thing we did not take your side in 1941.

It is from a English newspaper called the Independent.

It is my own thoughts entirely, and they are partly based on information I read. There's is no other way to form opinions unless you have been there yourself, and I have never been in the US. And will never as long as GWB is president. I cincerely don't understand why you think it's okay to execute minors, that's ****ed up and everyone who supports it is ****ed up also. For gods sake man, it's insane. The US is the land of freedom? Right? Bush is destroying that also, what's up with him and Homoweddings? Is he homophobic? What have they ever done to him? Bush has some very deranged views on how to run the worlds greatest country.

And BTW, what the hell do you know? I have been to Iran, and last time I checked, they were Islamic. So please don't speak out blabber you don't know anything about. I only write fact's and my opionions. That doesn't automaticly make yours right and mine wrong.

My point is that you haven't seen the consequences of what you're advocating. That makes your opinion a little less valuable, in my humble opinion. When you get a look at the real world, you just might become a little less bloodthirsty, a little less willing to spill other people's blood, a little less all black and white. It's call seasoning. Those people who've been there, who've actually seen what is going on, have a different opinion than you, and a good way to evaluate someone is to get their experience. You apparently have a blank resume in that regard, and your opinion is given the weight it deserves.

    Which one is it?

That's a well-thought out position. "I'm not coming to play stickball with you as long as Johnny is playing... WA WA WA" Gimme a break. Fine, stay home.

Ummm...OK Homoweddings, yeah. It is called THE RULE OF LAW. Currently, the law states marriage is between a man and a woman.. taking morality, religiousity and all out of it, homophobia is not the issue, ADHERENCE to the law is. Don't like it, you CHANGE the law, you don't go around picking and choosing which laws apply to you and which don't.... that my young friend is called ANARCHY.

Why shouldn't they be allowed to marry each other? They are normal people like everyone else. The law doesn't prohibit homoweddings now, GWB is trying to make a law to prevent it. Why? Because he doesn't like it. That's wrong man.

You are all avioding my question with death penalty. That reason alone is strong enough not to elect a person for president.

    jonas, and maybe art, if his last message was aimed at me;

i have been to pakistan, and afghanistan, specifically the nwfp where ossama is supposedly holed up right now. i have also been to israel, kuwait, the uae, bahrain etcetc. i have seen how things operate first hand in those countries, so don't talk to me about experience or seasoning, i have it in spades. i have also seen how the world despised reagan for his aggressiveness towards the soviet union, and then can't stop thanking him for ending the cold war and forcing the fall of the wall - the same will happen again regarding gwb - i guess it just takes a while for the non-liberal logic to seep in.

i also have a fair amount of experience with iraqis since i am working with some of them at the moment trying to rebuild their waste mgmt system, so i hear the real story from them all the time, and they couldn't be happier about the invasion and outcome of the war.

i won't get into discussion with jonas about how our country works. read about it some more and maybe visit, until then keep your uninformed opinions to yourself.

as for the death penalty, i am for it. as for gay weddings i am against them because they already have civil unions. but neither of these are subjects for this thread.

No one has commented on your experinces in middle-east country's, that was you doing that. Remember? How is my opinion un-informed? You say they are not subjects of this thread, but have you already forgotten that you asked me WHY I hated Bush? I think you suffer of a syndrom called short-term memory losses. My threads has EVERYTHING to do with this thread and why I think what I think of Bush.

In what way? He asked my why I hated Bush and I answered. Then when he couldn't argue against all my facts, it's suddenly not relevant to the thread allthou he just asked me about it earlier. Sounds to me like someone who is backing out. There is no way to ignore the list I wrote in a earlier post, it's the blinding trouth about your president and the reason why I like KErry more than Bush.

what i meant in my previous cryptic response is that you and i will never agree on this issue, and thats exactly why discussing this subject with you jonas is a waste of time - furthermore, you are not a voter in the united states. what you think and where you get your information is of only passing interest to the rest of us in this thread.
the fact that you do not like president bush is well established, please don't waste any further bandwidth telling us.

First of all Jonas... it makes sense because #1 (no offense) who cares what you think of OUR presidential election? We are not telling you what we think of your leader (whomever that may be) The very fact that John "Mr. Ed" Kerry is running around telling people that HE is the CHOICE amongst the world's socialist, leftist panty-wastes speaks volumes about the man's qualifications. Does Denmark open up their elections to a world-wide referendum and ask Swaziland and Germany and Spain who THEY think should be in power in Denmark? I don't think so. Maybe next time you guys have an election you should run an auction on Ebay, it makes about as much sense. Your hatred for Bush is noted by all on the board... but it amounts to less than zero in the importance department. If you lived here it would be a different story.

    Jonas:

He just ID'd himself. Doesn't makes sense because who cares about what you think. That sentence says it all: don't bother talking to me, I can't or won't listen. Can't deal with a closed mind, who thinks he knows it all. Just defined himself.

Ross on the other hand uses reason (most of the time) and can be reasoned with (most of the time). He's replacing Dave as the thinking man's conservative.

Funny Art but re-reading Ross' thread that got posted while I was typing mine...mmm... seems we said the EXACT SAME thing. But you have a problem with ME for some reason, don't know why, nor will I expend the calories to care. Nevertheless, funny how you have taken several stabs at me in the past for being TOO YOUNG to know about this or that, yet when an 18-20 year old who lives with mommy and daddy AGREES with you it's OK. Ultimately whenever myself or Ross or anyone else points out that Kerry is a man of ZERO conviction (I would hate to go to a restaurant with him, if there are more than 2 items on the menu I am sure he would take a week to order) you disappear from the conversation or bring up the same, tired old Haliburton, Dick Cheney.. blah..blah...blah. We don't really want to get into who is corrupt and who isn't do we? I think your boys on the left have that title sealed up. Or were you also an investor in Global Crossing?

I stand by my comment about Jonas' opinion meaning ZERO TO THE LEFT, as do many on the board I'm sure. It is SO obvious that he merely regurgitates things he's read or heard from the left-leaning media. I supose Art, that you are also going to deny the fact that the media leans so far left that even Walter Cronkite had to admit it.
