Dear Kevin, I have ordered from your shop HRE 547R 19x8 19x11 with painted black centre plus 4 ferrari wheel caps for my yellow 360 spider. This is in fact what i find out when i open the box just now. I hope you can give me a reasonably explanation. Plus i have bought the tyres ready for mounting. Dear Josh, I cannot tell you what i am thinking at the moment. But if you were me, paying $6000 from across the ocean having this situation, please don't cover your true instant feeling. Imagine when you happily open the box, my friend ! Do you know the time and cost to fix this assume "simply shipping error"? no disrespect but there are few places in Mongkok and another place in Tsim Sha Tsui that I know off that carries HRE's. I'm sure MVP will make it right for you though.
Dear Jose, Not sure if you are comforting or giving positive comments to me, but mentioned by HRE from California, in Hong Kong you can only get authorized HRE products through a dealer named "Tezta Limited" (www.tezta.com) or its contract shop named "Wong Shan" in Causeway Bay. Off course you can get quotation from a wheel shop around the corner, and they may quote from local or overseas dealers. But nothing as you detailed in Mongkok or another place Tsim Sha Tsui that I am aware of. Unless i didn't and never do come across this approach. Thanks again, Billy
Billy, All of us know what it's like to order something, patiently wait and eagerly look forward to the package arriving...only to be sorely disappointed when we discover the order is wrong, doesn't fit or is defective...we can empathize with your situation entirely. I'm sure your blood-pressure was affected, some profanity went aloft and your veins bulged. Been there, raged that. Dude...tomorrow is another day and in the end, millions of people would love to have a problem such as the wrong wheels showing up for their Ferrari. I'm not trying to annoy you or make light of your situation....but you know the old saying: **** happens. Or as I elaborate: happens, happened, will happen. What you are openly doing is torching Kevin on the forum....this is a measure of last resort....to be used if/when Kevin fails to respond to the situation or fails to make things right....please tell me you've attemtped to resolve this problem in an amicable manner before resorting to this measure. This is a pretty drastic step to take...and one not easily revoked. I've not met Kevin but from having spoken to him I have ever reason to believe he'll make things right instantly. Is there something we're missing to this picture..?

Oh boy, looks like there was a mix-up and I have an idea who has your wheels. There is nothing I can do until Monday (holiday weekend) but I will take care of it first thing Monday morning. Please e-mail me as we need to get this resolved. I will contact the customer who I believe has your wheels and have them shipped from there to you ASAP, I will then have my shipping company pick the incorrect wheels up from you at no additional charge, just e-mail me and sorry for the inconvenience. Just to clarify two HRE shipments left that day, one destined to Istanbul, Turkey (the wheels you have) and your wheels destined to Hong Kong which are in Turkey, unfortunantly the genious in the shipping dept just made a $1,000 mistake and wasted your time and the other customer's time and for this I truly apologize. Understand that I won't be in office and there's nothing I can do since the shipping company and HRE are already closed but don't hesitate to call me on my cell phone at 405-255-1803 if there's something you feel I can do. The other customer is easy to get ahold of luckily so I should be able to get your wheels shipped by Tuesday at the latest so I'm hoping you'll have them within 2 weeks from today, I know it's a delay but I will get them to you as fast as humanly possible. Also just to clear up my response I was at my office until 8:00 p.m. central standard time and received no e-mail or phone call regarding this, although I do understand the OP's thread as he was probably upset and confused. Had I been in his shoes I would have probably done the same thing. The wheels were delivered today (Tuesday) so this is a same day occurance.
Dear Kevin, SteveR and Roger, First of all, thankyou for your reply, Kevin and your understanding on my possible confusion or mis-understanding. I will call you later to solve the matter. Then Steve for your kind understanding and comfort. I have never attempt to dis-respect Kevin if you read on the title of the thread in the first place. Yes, there are another issue happened with this, which turn myself more concern of this wheels situation. As mentioned from your point of view, anyone like me would be disappointed or confused at that very first moment, but after a minute,( cool off ) and without a single different thought, I certain that this could only be a shipping error. However, this mistake just happen way above my expectation cause Kevin and I have keep contacting since he placed the order for me,further then, he kindly sent me a picture of the finished wheels when they arrived at his shop from the HRE factory, right before shipping to me. What's the big deal? We get to see Kevin in action and how he handles a problem. If it is handled appropriately he gains a few brownie points and possible some new business in the process.
Ray, You mean like that time you ordered that hyper-thermo coupler reactor for your intake manifold and instead they sent you a metamorphic rectifier.....but as I recall you did another one of your quick-fixes and made it work!
That was a sinusodial metamorphic rectifier but because the color matched his shoes, Steve decided to keep it. It is a bummer when this type of shipping error occurs which creates great disappointment. However, the worst parts are the delay to the correct purchaser and the exceptional cost that Kevin has to eat. Kevin, would it not make more sense to have the one in Istanbul keep the wheels he received and possibly pay the difference and then get billy721 a whole new set of the centers he wants rather than ship the wheels all around and take the chance of getting them damaged? Should be a lot cheaper and if the centers are available and much faster as well!
Dear Greg, Those I got right now are silver colour 18 x 9 , 18 x 11 inch 547 for Ferrari 456,550 with standard wheel cap. My order in the Turkey shipment are black colour 19 x 8 , 19 x 11 inch 547R for Ferrari 360 with Ferrari wheel cap. I don't think it will fit his car. And not sure if he may intend to keep them for a price difference. Again, I hope there will be no damage to the wheels, or missing of any parts ( caps, lugs, stems ) during this "around the world" shipping. This extra time issue really turn me down cause I have made appointment at dealer to have the challenge grill, Michelin tyres and another shipment of H&R springs ( Waiting ), or probably Capristo 2 muffler to be put on my little spider next Monday. Shame......... Again, thanks for the kind words, guys. Why don't you take it easy until you see the wheels when they get to you. This is great customer service you are experiancing here.....you could have run into something a lot worse here, I've got stories from the Viper and Vette boards that would make your head spin. I hope everything works out great, but I don't think an uncoordinated service appointment needs mentioning as a great misfortune. Sometimes life throws you little curveballs....and a delay in receiving custom three piece rims for a Ferrari is about the smallest hiccup you'll find. Kudos to MVP, hope this all works out well. PS - I believe there is an opening in the shipping department.
I don't know Kevin at all but the way he has handled this thread speaks volumes to me about the way he must do business. Most folks would NOT have replied so professionally/politely to being called out like this. I can empathize with Billy as we've all been in similar situations, but sounds like it should all work out with a little more time.
Hey. everyone.. I found 19'' wheels with black finish at my door step instead of the the ones above in the picture.. So I got your stuff here in my garage Billy. and no dont worry .. it wont fit my car plus black finish is not my type.. The ones you have are for my 456GT Blue.. for the 2007 Gumball Rally.. Polished Finishes get damaged and need the 18'' (more tire) for 3000 mile rally.. . So lets see how Kevin will handle this.. but I sent him e mail rather than forum for his business reason.. So far he has been great.. I am sure he will sort it out. I do have something like $650 (did not do the add up yeT) cost just from customs to my door..So we will see on monday.. Please keep all protective material on the wheels and box it carefully.. I will be doing the same with your wheels Billy.. Guys I import steel buildings from around the world.. Believe me. .in one project 2 columns were sent to Iceland.. so Sh.t happens in export import.. the customer service is what will change a bad situation to a pleasable one.. The customs documentation and other stupid costs I paid and lots of documents to fill to send it back is the real issue for me. .
Dear Hakan, What a wonderful outcome as to know the wheels go to another f-chatter. I have already taped the boxes and put them at my living room on maple floor. All the lugs and caps are all in the brown envelop as shown, without opened their plastic bags. If you still worry about them, pm me and i am happy to send you some pictures. I hope you will kindly treat mine vice versa. One more favor from you if possible. Could you let me know once the wheels are picked up by Shipping?
