Looking to replace clutch shortly. Have heard good things about aftermarket kevlar clutches on 3 pedal cars. Interested in thoughts/experiences including what is required to break them in, same feel as stock etc. I like a bit of clutch slip off the line, I presume kevlar clutches are not a good choice?
There is nothing wrong with the OEM clutch on a 3 pedal car. My car is definitely not a garage queen with 73Km (45Kmi) and from the records it is in the 6th year with the same clutch. Yet it shows no sign of slippage (ebrake on fully, front wheel chocked and in 6th gear it instantly stalls as soon as the clutch is let out). Buy OEM. I would. My $0.05
You are correct. Kevlar clutches don't have much slip. I had one on a 79 930. It was great on the track and a pain in traffic. I agree with hessank, stick with OEM...
