KewlRides Presents Christmas In July

For the first time we are holding a USMC Toys for Tots event not in the month of December. KewlRides.org will host Christmas in July on Sunday July 18th at Miller's Ale House in Alpharetta, Georgia at the former Home Depot Parking Lot next to Sam’s Club. This event will be held during the usual KewlRides Chillin' date but this will be a Toy Drive/Car Show with the sole purpose of collecting Toys for the USMC 2010 Toy for Tots promotion.

As the host of the event, KewlRides opens this event to all Automobile Marquees (any make of vehicle). We are hosting this event with the idea that many cannot attend the event in December due to various reasons. We of course will hold our annual USMC Toy for Tots on December 11th as usual, but want to give the opportunity to more folks to be a part of this fantastic charity vehicle. This Toy Drive/ Car Show will be a people choice award show. Upon entering the parking area you will receive a numbered dash display and a voting sheet for Best in Show categories.

This show will be from 12:00 (noon) through 3:00 PM with trophies awarded at 2:30PM. Registration for the show is the same as Toys for Tots in December, a NEW UNWRAPPED TOY or TOYS. So start up that KewlRide and head out to the First Annual KewlRides Christmas in July Toys for Tots –Toy Drive/Car Show for US Marine Corps. We will be there what is your excuse.

The 1st Annual Christmas in July - Toys for Tots Toy Drive / Charity Car Show for the US Marines Corps will be hosted by Kewlrides.org.

As the host of the event, KewlRides has opened this event to all vehicles. So bring that KewlRide to the show, entry is a NEW UNWRAPPED TOY collected as you drive in. We will be there, so come out have some fun while working for a great cause.

I know this might be new to you folks but we (founders of KewlRides) have been holding a Toys for Tots Toy Drive/Car Show for the past six years. The first years the group was pretty much Corvettes and many of those groups still join us for the Toys for Tots. With the event now hosted by KewlRides we look forward to a more diverse group of vehicles in attendance along with the corvette groups that come.

This July 18th will mark the first year that this Christmas In July Event will be held, we are looking to make this an annual event based on what kind of participation we have. The parking lots will be taped out and we will be directing traffic to the second entrance up Davis St just after Miller's Ale House. We will have numbered dash displays and vote sheets to pick up as you drive in along with volunteers to collect the toys for packing until the Toys for Tots official campaign kicks off later this year.

So the rules are simple come out take a chance at the people's choice trophies bring your New Unwrapped Toy (or Toys), grab a dash display and vote sheet, stay until we announce the winners around 2:30 (contestant must be present to win a trophy). Or just come out and enjoy, while we see what the day will bring about.

If you just want to swing by and drop a New Unwrapped Toy (or toys) come on by we will be there.

We are looking forward to seeing some of you out there and having a great time while we are working for a fantastic charity close to KewlRides heart.

Well the Christmas In July weekend is here, hope to see some of you locals come out; don't forget to bring your Toy or Toys. The Marines will be there to transport the donations to their 2010 storage facility. Come on out and pick a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place car, for that matter pick up a dash display and let the folks vote on yours.
