So I Parked my F430 and armed the car as usual.
Locks click and lights flash with the alarm LED inside blinking.
Come back to the car and the FOB is not working to unlock the car.
Change out batteries and still nothing.
Unlock car manually with alarm blarring, start car and drive home with alarm and blinkers flashing.
Alarm LED in car still blinking.

I changed the batteries. Tested they were good batteries. I only have 1 RED FOB that seems to not want to unarm the car.

Tried disconnected the main battery switch to vehicle. No help. Alarm still blares when opening/starting car with manual key.

Has anyone run into this situation? How can I disarm the vehicle??? I have the PIN for the vehicle if that helps.

Does your other key work? I had a key that stopped working. Changed battery and still did not work. Went to dealer, they reprogrammed, took 5 minutes and I was on my way. I would double check that battery is in right and in fact good (even though new). If other key works, off to the dealer!

I have the flat side of the battery facing up. I believe that's correct. I tested the batteries also they are good. Anyway for me to disarm the system so I can drive it without the alarm going off while driving?

I only have this one key. The red one. The car starts and drives it just won't unlock the car/disarm the system. Is that good enough evidence for a reprogram?

You should be able to see the battery contacts to know if you have it installed correctly.

Batteries were replaced exactly how they were taken out in working condition so it's not the battery. Anyone else have insight??

If you have the PIN, disable the alarm manually using the procedure in the manual - I may have the procedure wrong, so double check the specifics first, but insert the key, press the accelerator to the floor and hold for a second, release, count the number of immobilized light flashes, and when you reach the first digit of your PIN, press the accelerator to the floor, and release. Repeat for each digit of your PIN. Your alarm is now disabled. Leave it that way, manually locking and unlocking with the key, until you get the remote issue figured out.

You shouldn't need to press the accelerator.

I do have the PIN! Let me give that a try. I didnt see the procedure listed out in the manual..I only saw the procedure to START the vehicle in emergency with PIN. I can start the car right now, I just cant disable the alarm..

Welp.. I just tried what I could based on the attachment below. Im assuming thats what you guys are referencing.

I put the key in to position II.
    Step down on accelerator
Wait 8 seconds the CEL(EOBD) light doesn't go off
the CODE light goes off immediately.
Wait for EOBD light to go off but it wont...Stuck here??

Sorry. I didn't read the OP carefully and forgot it was referring to a 430.

    A couple of things:

    - sorry for the slow response
    - F430 comes with two red keys - no black keys
    - your symptoms are the same as mine (reprogram fixed) no guarantee it will work for you but fingers crossed for you
    - I could not get manual procedure to work either. Same result as you.

    So, same experience.

Guess ill go for a reprogram then. Will anyone with an SD2/3 system or Leonardo be able to do this or only the dealer?

Sorry. Can't help you with that. All I know is I had the same symptoms with one key (other worked fine). Tried new batteries - no difference. Went to dealer with the good key. Could not have been more than three minutes after the tech got in the car with the computer, it was working again. He said needed reprogramming.

I had the same issue with my second 430 key that had been allowed to sit and ultimately go dead. A new battery did not help, but an independent with a Leonardo fixed it in a few moments by re-pairing the key.
