Key ignition black button lock issue

    On my 458, every time you turn off the vehicle and go to remove the key, it stays in the middle locked position and can not be removed. The little black button beside the ignition cylinder has to be pressed every single time to remove the key. Any way to fix or reset this system?

    Do you put it neutral before turning off the ignition ? If so this puts it into car cash mode. As you describe.

    Just leave it in 1st and switch off. Then the key should be free.
    If this doesn’t happen I suspect something is not right.

    It does this in all modes (1, N, or R). I scanned the system and I am getting a p1803 code. I will check connections to ignition and transmission parking.
