Hello all, I currently have an issue, basically, walking around London yesterday and I had a gentleman stop me in the street and hand me my key to the Granturismo, telling me I dropped it, my first thought was I had been pickpocketed due to the fact I keep my Ferrari and Maserati key on the same keyring, and it was a solitary Maserati key I was given. Cut a long story short, the other key was in my pocket and the key ring attachment from the GT key had came adrift. Had it not been for this gentleman, I would have been stranded in London with a 4 month old baby and no way to get into my car. I had a Quattroporte that had the same style key and never had an issue, I ask the question to you all, is this a common problem, obviously I will be persuing a new key via warranty, but if it is going to happen again, what is the point? Any input would be appreciated. Best Michael James Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have exactly the same design key for our Alfa Romeo and it has come apart just like your pictures show.
I have spoken with a representative from my local dealer, it seems it will not be an issue as it, and I quote, 'a common problem', but I will have to wait 4 weeks as they are so busy!!! No macroeconomic recession at the top it would seem. Best Michael J
Wow, that is a crappy design. I don't understand why they can't put a hole in the fob like Ferrari does.
