Yesterday morning, I felt a bit odd (more odd than usual!), and thought I had to go to the bathroom. But, soon that feeling tuned into extreme pain, sweating, nausia, tingling in my arms, and just a complete feeling of helplessness.......so, I raced myself over to an urgent care clinic. Got there just in time as I collapsed in pain.

Turns out I had a kidney stone!!!!

I was transferred to a hospital ER and stayed there for the most part of last night.... home now and resting comfortably, but WTF that was reeeeealy painful. Oh, and I can't forget the fun of pissing into a funnel strainer to try to catch the stone. Yuck!

Hope you're feeling better Fred..............unfortunately, once a person has stones the likelihood of them returning are very high!
I never had them, but when my sister contracted them after delivering her daughter, the doctor told her she should drink a BEER every once in while (helps the prevention of future stones?). SO...................... Drink Up!!! :)

Had them a long time ago. Was drivng to work and thought I pulled a muscle.
Went into work and got sick, went to the hospital for a few days waiting for them to pass.

Fred, Luckily they broke up and you were able to pass them.
The other option of removing them is not fun as straining your urine.

I had gallstones last year too, that was easy, they just took out my gall bladder.

If you need any help let me know.

I've never had them, but I was in a construction meeting and the superintendant was passing one in the next room for about 45 minutes. All sorts of cussing and screaming, we really could not continue the meeting. Then the super walks out like nothing had happened, and the stone was probably about half the size of a BB. He was no wimp either, so I feel really bad for anyone that has them. Rest, and as Duane says "drink up".

Bro sorry you had to go through that. I had a kidney stone 2 years ago and seriously thought i had broken my back or fractured my spinal cord. I was a mess!! It is the worst pain you can imagine.

Not sure if this is true but I heard you should drink a beer from time to time as it is good for kidney stones. : )

Out of experience I can say dislocated shoulder > kidney stone. Drink lots and lots of water! My doc said take your body weight, divide in half and that is the # of ounces of water you should drink per day.

Finally passed the stone...... caught it in the disgusting, piss-smelling, sifter-funnel they gave me at the hospital.

Wonder how much this thing would go for on ebay??...... LOL!!!

MORPHINE! Always works for kidney stones.

Need to drink a lot of water in Florida to keep the kidney clean - fresh salty air makes keeping hydrated difficult.

Cleavers Tea they say is good for kidney stones.

Also, can be a symptom of diabetes, get the blood sugar checked.
