Hi Everyone, So, how many kilometres do you guys do per year between TUV / MOT tests? My insurance imposes a limit of about 8,000 km per year and I have just taken a look through my fuel logbook: 2002-2003 = 4,989 km 2003-2004 = 3,980 km Since my last MOT I've done 195 km Total litres of fuel burned = 1,248.01 litres Total cost of fuel = EUR 1,351.43 Average fuel cost per litre = EUR 1.08 Cheapest fuel per litre = EUR 0.74 - Czech Republic Most expensive fuel per litre = EUR 1.32 - England Fuel cost per km = EUR 0.15 Average km per litre = 7.36 km Average litres per 100 km = 13.96 litres Seeing as I've paid for it, I'll have to work harder next year to get closer to the 8,000 limit imposed by insurance! My fuel log book (spreadsheet) is quite obsessive - dates, locations, driver, passenger, details of the trip, odometer and trip distances, brand of fuel, octane, litres, price, oil, services, etc. etc! Data crazy - that's me... Cheers, MARK
Wow Mark! You are a data-God! This is more that an obsession. You have your whole lifes in digital numbers. Absolutely amazing. I think that the insurance lets me drive 15k km per year. Ton
Mark, I am in figures too but only in my job. Not shure IF I want to know all (expensive) figures of my Fcar!! With my Ferrari I drove about 3500km last year and 2000km in 2003. Average km per litre is about 6km (with smooth driving) I had a Euro 6000 maintanance bill (with belts) last may (still hurts my wallet ) My insurance allows me to drive 7500km a year with fully all risk insurance. Insurance costs a year only Euro 500 because it is a classic car. Because the car is older then 25years I don not have to pay TAX for it. This is all info right out my head, no data spreadsheets.........
Mark, Km more or less 7000 (I know, I am not so good at keeping data) but you have to consider that I used my car only from July onward, i.e. since I was back to Italy. My insurance has no maximum km limit, just 85 per year (third party only, classic car). I am driving the little one daily in this period..... Ciao Eugenio
in my second year of owning the green monster after sorting out all my innumerable gremlins of the first year i made 25'000 km in 6 months!
27,000kms on the clock when I bought it. 37,000kms one year and 2 months later. :O Bummer - that's an average of 2,000kms a year for 14 years, then 10,000 in one year with me! PERFECT!!
More detail? OK....I have a log of all the people that have driven in the car, either as P1 (driver) or P2 (passenger) and can give you the percentage of driving time that each of them have done...if you want to know! For example, with me driving, my wife has been a passenger in the car for 85.6% of the km travelled since I bought it (i.e. 4,872.4 km). Need some more detail? MARK
I mopped the garage floor the other day. Not doing that again with the door open - the neighbours think I'm a nutter.
