A few of us are going to take our F-cars to the cruise night at Kimball Farm in Westford, MA next Thursday, the 16th and I wanted to invite anybody along who'd like to show up. It's a great cruise night, with food and ice cream, live music, and usually something in the neighborhood of 300 cars of all kinds showing up. It's also very easy to get to, right off Rt.495. I went over yesterday evening to check it out and to exercise my Triumph TR3 and had a great time shooting the sh*t with all the folks who were there. But no F-cars turned up, so the Lambos were stealing the show!! Can't have that, now can we? ;)

For anybody who'd like to join us, we're going to meet at a parking lot nearby probably around 5:45 (the cruise night starts at 6pm) and drive over together, so we can get all the cars parked together in the field. Let me know if you're interested in coming so I can get an idea of numbers (I believe we currently have 4 F-cars going) and so we'll be sure to wait for you. I'll give more details on the meeting point as we get closer and figure out exactly where it's going to be.

Ok, I have to admit I was exaggerating for effect... there was only one lambo that showed up, a white Gallardo. It did make quite an impact when it arrived though!

Last week was a silver Gallardo spyder, a Ford GT, a couple NSX's, a fair number of Lotuses (both Esprits and Elises), a few Maseratis. Mostly American big iron from the 60's & 70's, but a real diversity of cars. Everything from 1930's era vehicles, to hot rods, to a handful of exotics. Overall its a great event, very laid back. I left my NSX completely open for a half hour unattended and there were no problems whatsoever.

Oh, was it silver? I thought it was white. Didn't pay that much attention to it other than to notice that the crowd enjoyed it.

Anyway, nobody else interested in meeting up with us this week?

I may go with my 7 year old son in my red 360 spider (IPLAW1 license plate).

I have a friend with a red 430 spider who may go with his son as well.

That would be fabulous! We've got a few 308s coming, and I'd love to see the newer cars there with us. We're going to meet in an HP parking lot at 5:45pm and leave for Kimballs at 6pm. The HP Littleton parking lot is just West of Kimballs(3) on the same road. Take Rt.495 exit 31- Rt 119 south and east (1). First traffic light take a left and then a left into the HP lot(2).

P.S. I can wait until my son is old enough to come in the Ferrari, as it is now he and his mom will be coming in the chase car.

I have heard that the entry to those parking lots is chained (see post #9 on our meet thread at NSXPrime http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91638 ). Because of this, we were planning on meeting at the parking lot of the 99 that is just down the road from Kimballs (about 0.3 miles if my memory serves). Unfortunately work blew up at the last minute and I drove straight to Kimball's instead.

There are also other parking lots around the area, but I don't live there so I don't know which one would be best. One of these weeks we should have a bunch of modern sportscars head up there as a group. I'll be in Charlotte this week and unable to join you guys, but have fun.

Ah, I may have received bad intel from an ex-HP employee then. He said they weren't chained as far as he knew, but hadn't been there in two years. I guess we better pick another parking lot just to be safe...

If you keep driving through the traffic light instead of taking a left, there's a supermarket (Donelan's) parking lot on the right just above where the bottom right most 2A symbol is on that above map. How about that instead?

Any idea what the forecast is looking like, and what Kimball's does if it rains? Looks like they plan on having an band.....

Forecast looks wait and see. Some forecasts are saying slight chance of rain in the evening, others are not. If it looks like rain as we get closer, I imagine we'll bail and try again next week.

Yes, the entrance to the old HP parking lots are chained shut.... Just drove by there last Thursday nite on my way to Kimball's..

Also, you might want to get there early or pre arrange some parking, cause the past few weeks it has been full by 6:30 - 6:45, and after that they will turn you away...

Yeah, that's why I figured we'd meet up at 5:45 or so and head over at 6pm, that should put us there by 6:10 or so. I arrived there last week at about 6:15 and ended up in the middle of the field. By 6:45 the field was completely full.

I may try to get there. How much time should I allow to be there by 6:00pm going from Newton?

    Thank you.

I would say to give yourself about an hour from Newton. If you are familair with some backroads, I woudl suggest jumping through Concord center to RT225 and coming up that way. Much more pleasant ride then fighting traffic on 95, 3 and 495. Or Rt 2 to 495. Both are miserable at that time.

I may try to make an appearance as well. Could always use a nice ice cream, *haha*.

Well, the weather looks like it might sprinkle on us a bit if we're unlucky, but damn the torpedoes, I'm still going. So anybody else who's still up for it, I'll be in the Donelan's parking lot from 5:45 to 6pm.

Whatever this 'Ferrari Bug' is going around, it better not be contagious....Pizza's tranny, Jeremy's FI issue, and my battery is now dead as a doornail.....if David's 212 throws a rod or something, I'm calling a Witch Doctor immediately....

Spivy and I made an appearence. Quite a good turnout, but not many exotics. Lots of pristine Corvettes (C1 and C2 in particular). Too bad we didn't to catch up. Hopefully some other time.

Be careful about starting rumors. The piston to valve clearance on the 212 was insufficent and was discovered during routine checks performed during assembly. Wew! Don't even go there!
