Ferrari could never get the EBD concept to work, not Alonso's fault and their PU sucked in 2014. I don't think Vettel is sharing engineering insight on the PU and that is where they have made their strides

Only thing that makes sense. Not sure if I posted it here the other yesterday but I echo your thoughts. Marchionne signed Leclerc. Current Ferrari brass wants to keep Kimi. Lawyers present at Monza and announcement should've been yesterday. Perhaps they're working out the deal with Leclerc for 2020 and some fat stacks for next year to stay at Sauber.
Horner made the comment the other day that Vettel even had development for the engine department. I'm still a bit puzzled on how that works exactly. My only way of how that would logically work is where he wants the power to come in and the engine is developed around that, as sure as hell Vettel isn't spending his time drawing up engine designs, lol.
Regarding the Kimi - LeClerc situation: Is no news good news? Meaning is there hope of Kimi staying at Ferrari one more year?

What's crazy is that a petition of 100k signatures in a 30 day period to the US Govt requires an official response. This petition is on track to do that in 2 days. If Kimi is canned, I hope he drives the hell out of that car for the balance of the season and drops the mic, I mean steering wheel.
