In an interview in Autosport, Kimi indicated the team found the key to making the car more suitable to his driving style. Even following a minor off track excursion during a wet Tuesday test, he felt confident that Ferrari was ready for the Spanish GP.

For Raikkonen to even speak like this is pretty significant. If he qualifies on pole, he will win the race. Curious as to how Massa will respond if in fact the car is performing better.

His car was performing fine in Malaysia, it was Massa who was backpedaling through the field...

Wrong again. Raikkonen has never been happy with the way his car has performed since the first race. The tests in Barcelona have brought out a significant development that makes the car more to Kimi's style of driving.

Quoted in this article and interview in Autosport, Kimi stated, "I was not happy after qualifying in Melbourne and the same in Malaysia......"

I would think that these changes to the F2007, will also help Massa, who factually has been the fastest of the two so far this season.

From another post, Ferrari started the season with two project cars, one for the first three races, and one to start the European round of the championship. The second phase, although not a "B" car, is the one that Raikkonen has found to be quite to his liking. The other part of the equation is that Kimi has made a greater effort the last month to be more than just a hired gun to the team. He has actually become involved in the car's development and with the team's personnel.

Kimi was not happy with his car and still won. Kimi is happy with his car and will now win the WDC.

This is a relative statement. Relative to how a driver likes a car to handle. What would be a better statement is that the car is responding differently with the new updates. These new changes make the car perform better for Kim’s style. It may very well have the opposite effect for Massa.

Is Massa scheduled to be in the car this week?

Kimi hasn't been happy with his car yet has managed to be on the podium all 3 times; can't wait to see his performance now that he's "satisfied".

I hate these long breaks between GPs.....

Ferrari certainly favourites for the Spanish GP!

Felipe Massa took over where Kimi Raikkonen left off yesterday by continuing to dominate the Spanish tests with Ferrari.

After rain yesterday, the weather improved at the Catalan track, to the extent that Massa was able to do all his running in the dry.

The Brazilian driver was able to try for the first time, the new aerodynamic and mechanical solutions brought in on the F2007 for this test and he also worked on finding the best set-up for the car on this track.

Massa completed a total of 106 laps, the quickest in a time of 1.21.506.

Testing continues at this circuit again tomorrow, still with Felipe Massa on track.
