It will be difficult to achieve because it is not like we have got the fastest car at our disposal. [Regarding the high expectations of the home crowd] - At least I don’t feel any pressure. First we have to see how we manage to set up the car for that track. It is certainly not the best car in the world to cross the kerbs. I don’t know if they have been changed in any way. The less anyone can utilize the kerbs, the better for us. Comment: Sounds cautiously pessimistic to me. (I know, the title is screwed up but cannot edit it.)
I'm hoping he'll be on the podium again too. In the last five races Kimi has bagged the most points out of anyone, so should be good to watch. Unfortunately the kerbs have been raised to stop people cutting them, so his car will be shocking across them.
If I am reading his comments right, the worse the kerbs are, the BETTER for Ferrari, as the other guys won't be able to use them either. Last year I remember some other cars being much more stable on landing than the Ferrari.
I seem to recall McLaren historically make great use of big curbs by having a supple suspension that flies off them... although, having said that, it's not like McLaren have any true pace this year to be much of a threat. I wonder if Brawn will make a strong showing or if Red Bull will start to claw back the difference on their championship lead. All the best, Andrew.
I just hope Kimi and Fisi can still maintain their momentum for this weekend and the rest of the season. It's great to see Kimi has woken up
