You go and freeze frame the vid where for an instant Kimi's sleeve touches the book and the kid runs full steam into it. Yeah ALL KIMI's FAULT! Yeah "I want Kimi gone!" "That poor kid!" *sniff sniff* "Human rights are important" P.S. The mother should have been watching her kid in a public place instead of hounding strangers for their autograph. The mother caused the child to run into the book. Who's book was it? Who was holding it? Who was carrying it at waist height/ signing height? Who glanced over their shoulder after their child fell and then kept on walking? It sure as hell wasn't an F1 driver, it was a twit mother. Can you imagine how much trouble that child was in as soon as that was over? I can picture that mother spanking and screaming at the kid for the loss of the signature. What kind of parent acts like that? A retarded one. As for you being a parent and standing on your soap box, look at the vid and factor in the "damage" Kimi did. If I was in Kimi's exact shoes and you bellowed out "help my kid up!" I would have told you to {"insert your favorite two words here"} I'm also sure that mother would have rather been solo on that hunt for an autograph, that way she could get more ink on the page without having to mind that "pesky" child. I give her 2 back hands AHEM! I mean 2 thumbs up for good parenting.
So just walking away from a hurt kid is ok? Say what you will, but he had no excuse to walk away from something like this..he was involved even if it was a accident. He could of at least made sure the kid was ok or even helped her get up. What hurts him worse the video showing this and the photographer, or a fine he could afford anyways?
Well, knowing Kimi.. he was probably incredibly late to some kind of function, and after looking back and seeing that the kid seemed okay he just kept on walking along so he wouldn't be fined an immense amount of money for being late. Or, he just didn't want to get swarmed by people going back to check on the kid.
What hurts him worse? The kid thing is all blown to **** on this thread, no issue at all. How many regular people would go back to the kid? Hardly any. Studies and projects on human behavior in societies all across the planet show that 9 out of 10 people don't return wallets, check to see if a homeless man is dead etc etc. You can add a host of other situations where people just keep on walking and a kid landing on their bum doesn't make the list.
This is in no way bashing LH but do any of you remember the camara man who fell backwards as he was snapping pics of LH?? LH just pressed on.. Granted it was not a little kid but I think people are shocked and dont know how to react . Well minus 5 points for being mean..
Lol !!! You got me.. But I still think he was mean ( LH that is ) !!!! Kimi showed very little class on this one.. I wonder what he would have done if that was Masa who got run over?? Oh sorry Masa would have moved aside for the faster moving lady !!!
Imagine how many autograph hungry parents would be pushing their children in front of Kimi if he had gone back. "Oh my child, you hit them, can I have an autograph and I won't sue you and you are my favorite driver and actually I am single and that is not my child, don't you find me attractive?"
+1 also, it looked like was pointed out her child to her. Who better to take care of a child, the parent or a stranger.
The best part is after the kid is on the ground crying, she looks at the kid and decides to continue following Kimi! If she wasn't worried, then why should we be?
Since so many rediculous comments have been made so far in this thread, I will make another. This is McLaren's fault, not Kimi's. Kimi spent too many years in black cars and black firesuits. Spending too much time in the Evil Empire under Ron Dennis has made Kimi cold and inhumane. Everyone should be jumping on RD for CHEATING the world out of a nice, soft Kimi. MCLAREN ARE CHEATING AGAIN!!!!! Mark
"The force is strong in this one Lewis , use the powers of the dark side.." Dennis talking to Lewis..
