55 to go kimi is still in it. never watched these things before. what a hoot. there is a truck in the pits being services facing the wrong way. doesn't seem to be unusual. what a circus. kimi must be laughing his head off. the announcers are amazed by his car control. guess they've never seen someone who can really drive.
Kimi looks real good; I would bet he's enjoying the racing as well. His management has also contacted other teams about running a road course in the nationwide series....
15th place finish. Kyle busch won; real impressive drive by Kimi; he raced hard. Montoya couldn't believe he picked Charlotte as the place to start...
Diego Mejia of Autosport just tweeted that Kimi will definitely run next week in a Nationwide car. It won't be a Kyle Busch car, but his team will be running it. Also Kimi said that it was more fun than he hoped for. Kyle on Sirius Nascar radio just said in a post race interview that he felt bad that they gave Kimi basically a crap car and he still performed well.
Congrats to Kimi...and NASCAR/Speed as that's the most I've watched of truck race in quite awhile and I'm sure I'm not alone.
I am watching the race now on SPEED and it is indeed my first ever NASCAR truck race. Kimi certainly had a busy day and I'm sure he is loving it!
After Kimi's interview MW said he sounded like Ward Burton....actually, not a bad analogy... Kimi's truck WAS garbage.
Kimi pulled another surprise and tested Robby Gordon's Sprint Cup car at VIR today. He did cause some damage to the car today, not sure at what point within the test. There is also talk that he might not race the Nationwide race this weekend according to his manager. Its all up to Kimi in his words, he does what he wants and when he wants it. Brief video of him in action today. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsv7lRru0Yk[/ame]
