Airing right now on Beeb America. As you'd expect. JC: So you're driving for Lotus Renault? KR: [looks at race car in studio] Ah, yeah. That's what it says on the car. ... JC: You're sponsored by an anti-dandruff shampoo? KR: Seems to be working so far.
Kimis the biggest smart ass in F1. Did anyone else see the clip of him knocking down a child and keep walking like a boss?
I did not watch TG lastnight when this aired but here is the video. I quite like Kimi's demeanor as he reminds me of Sheriff Buford Pusser "walk softly and carry a big stick". [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNpxDm3BA4c[/ame]
You mean the woman who knocks the child over...? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMBP1T_jw5w[/ame]
+1 I have not been out of the US as much as some here have but the candidness for myself was a good thing as it suited my persona and mentality.
I beg to differ. I don't claim to know the guy, but he seems anything but a prima donna to me. He is what he is, and I think he's actually a little shy and simply quietly spoken, as are most Finns (see, Hakkinen, Mika for another). Further, I've read he's actually got a hell of a sense of humor. I like the guy! Cheers, Ian
Caught it last night; good stuff. I'm happy to see his hat had a bit of curve to it; I hate those goofy flat-bill hats he and Alonso wear. Nice hat!
+1 And not wearing any sponsor BS either!... "I think so the sponsors can **** off!" Love the guy! Cheers, Ian
Also meant to mention; He's fully capable of "pulling a Beckham" and shaving his head just to wind 'em up..... For those that don't know, he signed a *huge* endorsement deal with Brylcreem (sp?) many years back. Did the mandatory studio shots then appeared at the next match totally bald!..... Brylcreem were *pissed* until they realized the enormous additional publicity it gave them! Cheers, Ian
I watched it last night and thought it was pretty funny. Kimi has a good sense of humor which is a nice addition to the paddock and good for interviews.
I remember an interview where he said that he isn't really interested in F1, it is just his job. His persona and attitude reflect that. Not really a bad thing.
