I was rushing out the door and meant to make that with a smiley! I am sorry for being abrupt. Surely more is going on behind the scenes and it makes for great chat here.

We will all know soon I guess and will be either totally surprised or its just kind of a whatever moment and we talk of other F1 things!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I think alot of talented drivers now face this situation. How to get noticed or move up or even test for a good team. Not easy to change this.

    Ah, nevermind, no harm done.
Here is the Auto Hebdo article about Massa in full, with a careful translation from me, so every reader here can make his mind if this is really the premices of the announcement of another year with Felipe...
(also posted in the Joe Saward's opinion about the drivers market Thread)

    AUTOhebdo.fr | F1 – Domenicali : Massa reste mon choix favori pour 2014

F1 – Domenicali : Massa remains my favorite choice for 2014
Felipe Massa still has Stefano Domenicali's support, but the Brasilian must now be convincing

Scuderia Ferrari could well grant Felipe Massa another season. Stefano Domenicali hopes, in any case, that the Brasilian will bring convincing results for the times ahead.

If some speculations foresee Räikkönen's return at the Scuderia Ferrari, the drivers changes among the teams may actually be much less numerous than what was expected. The Lotus management has good hopes to keep the 2007 World Champion within their team, and now the Scuderia Ferrari is overtly demonstrating his support for Felipe Massa. The man from San Paolo nevertheless has not been very convincing for several seasons, notably if the results of Fernando Alonso are taken into account, and so far has only one podium to his name since the beginning of this year (obtained at Barcelona). Defending Maranello since 2006, it now appears that the Brasilian could be provided with the opportunity to carry forward his contract for a ninth season with the prancing horse.

Stefano Domenicali is the one who stepped forward to answer the rumors about Felipe Massa's quitting the team at the end of the season. « Every driver wants to drive for Ferrari, but we must still wait », states the Scuderia's Team Principal; « My first choice would be, evidently, to keep Felipe, because he is a really good one, who is especially devoted to the team. Looking carefully around, you will not find so many good drivers to swap that would be performing right from the word go. But of course we evidently need good results from Felipe, and this is why we are in no hurry, because we must take the right decision. As soon as our choice will be made, we will do an official announcement, this to definitively bring an end to all rumours".

I know for a fact that Christian Horner and Adrian Newey wants to sign Kimi as soon as possible. The problem is that Horner and Newey does not have the final say in this matter.
The team owner and one more person have the final say in this matter.
It is not sure that Kimi wants to sign for Red Bull either.

Martin Withmarsh have always been a big fan of Kimi and i will not be suprised if McLaren tries to get Kimi back. They have not signed Jenson Button for next year yet so a lot can happen.
Why they signed Perez i do not understand because he is not that good at all
I really can not see that happen because next year they will have to pay for Mercedes engines so they will not be back in the fight before 2015 and Kimi knows that

I think Alonso is not as happy at Ferrari as Ferrai wants people to belive
I think they have discussed truing to sign Kimi but i suppose that Luca di Montezemolo is hesitant because that will mean that Ferrari made a mistake dropping Kimi
Everybody knows that when Santander started backing Ferrari they wanted a spanish drive and that is Alonso.

If Kimi gets the guarantees that the Lotus Formula 1 car will have a real proper budget and have enough money to produce a winning car he will stay at Lotus

But as i said if Christian Horner and Adrian Newey was the only ones to decide on who is going to step in as Vettels team mate they would do everything possible to sign Kimi
It would have been great to see how Vettel would manage against a driver of Kimis caliber
They are friends on and off track so that might have worked out

One thing about Formula 1 in general is that nowadays Formula1 is just about safety and they have a rule book as thick as Guiness world records and that makes F1 much boring

I know for a fact that Adrian has decided to take Mark Webber's seat for the first 6 months of 2014. He wants to prove that there's still some fight in the old dog.

Christian told me he's signed Jacques Villeneuve because he's still the best around and deserves another chance in F1

Raikkonen won his title when Ferrari built fast cars. Kimi would not have finished any better than Alonso has since FA joined the team.

Kimi was paid off because Massa beat him for 2 years in a row and Ferrari wanted a new #1

Yes, Kimi left. Because he was fired.

Here is that myth again. I told you guys. Brought this up a few pages back. It's very, very common Kimi fanboy statement. What does it even mean? How do you measure this? How do you arrive at that conclusion?

No one knows, yet this gets recycled time and again. Please, do explain how Kimi is more "naturally talented" than Alonso, Hamilton, or Vettel?

False. BTW - Kimi was the #1, the heralded "replacement for Schumacher." Unfortunately, Massa started beating him consistently and the bloom fell off that rose.

Happened once. MS also braked at the finish line to give Rubens a win - people always forget this.

It's great to have a personal friend of Tombazis and Fry on the forum. Can you please share more top secret Ferrari information with us?

Not sure why. He will never be a world champion with Lotus.

More common gems from the fanboys: It's never Kimi's fault if he doesn't deliver the goods, it's always somehow related to the team letting him down or making him unhappy
