I'm okay with replacing him with ANYONE. Anything to get that jackass off of the track is okay by me.

Happy days, I can't see why this couldn't become a reality. Kimi and Vettel are good friends, Weber is driving shocking and Kimi is a Red Bull driver already so... :D

    I agree.

With all due respect, Webber always overdrives (in a bad way) his car whenever he's being overtaken, often to the cost of other drivers. Just look at brazil 2009. Kimi overtaking Webber and webber just pushes...and pushes...but instead of leaving kimi to back of so he won't go in the grass, he keeps on pushing.

Great to see if it actually leads to no incident in which he escapes injury but leaves other drivers with broken cars.

IMO Webber is a tool! He shouldn't be driving and eventually he is going to hurt someone. Anyone will better at this point.

Yeah, which lead to Kimi having a broken front wing the Weber says Kimi would have done exactly the same thing. But at least you can say one thing... He never gives up.

i agree, anyone would be better. IMHO webber is the most dangerous driver on the grid.

If this turns out to be true I can't wait for Kimi to get back in the saddle with a Redbull
Hopefully his motivation is high again :)

Sadly, I agree. I'm a Webber fan of sorts but as of late he has been very reckless.

I think that perhaps the biggest obstacle to this has not been mentioned here before. Kimi is relatively heavy these days and needs to lose some muscle mass to be an optimal fit for a F1 car. Whether he is willing to do that remains anybody's guess but AFAIK he continues to train like hockey players.

I don't think this will happen. Someone might be talking about it, but I don't see it coming to pass.

Kimi is definetly a better driver than Webber. However, IMO, Red Bull's problem right now is reliability, and while Vettle is obiviously fast on the track, I do wonder if he is also hard on the equipments. I am a Vettle fan and hope to see him in Ferrari in the future, I do think that having two drivers that are hard on equipment is not the answer.

With that said and just to be clear, I am not putting all the blame on Vettle. In fact, I think it has a lot to do, and is consistent with the histories of Adrian Newey designed cars. While they are fast and may very well be the best cars on the grid, but due to packaging and his designing philosophy, reliability has always been a concern with his cars.

Webbers brain boils. In parts of the race he actually drove very well, but the start was a shocker, but atleast he didn't knock anybody off like Button did in the first corner.

Yeah instead of him knocking anyone in the first corner, he does it on the last corner on the second to last lap.

Definitely should replace Webber. He's forever giving comments about safety and all, but drivers like an idiot. Plus, he's no where near the talent of the Kimster.

I've never liked Webber - he is an arrogant SOB who will swerve all over the track and push people into the wall to hold a position, yet in a laughable twist of hypocrisy he is the head of the drivers safety group or whatever it is. Not only that, but he is the first one to complain whenever someone does something to in any way impede him or harm his race, yet whenever he does it, it's just a "racing incident".

Kimi would be a lot better than Webber... Vettel needs a good backup driver, someone to hold down the fort who can help let Vettel do what he does best, excel and drive super fast. Kimi would fill that role nicely, as he did for Massa the last couple of years.

Plus, he's not turning the world on fire in WRC, so better if he cuts his losses and avoids further embarassment.

As long as Kimi is motivated, then this would be an excellent switch. The RB car is clearly very good, so all that is needed is sufficient $$$. Can RB afford Kimi?
