Robertson Management - the organisation that brought Jenson Button and Kimi Raikkonen into Formula 1 - has picked Brazilian teenager Felipe Nasr as its next future superstar.

The 17-year-old won the Formula BMW Europe title, and will race for David and Steve Robertson's Double R team in British Formula 3 this season as well as joining their management stable.

Steve Robertson said his company had rejected many approaches from drivers because it only wanted to work with potential champions, but that him and his father were certain that Nasr has the talent to emulate Raikkonen and Button.

"I see a lot of the same qualities that I first saw in Kimi," Robertson said.

"He's super quick, he's got unbelievable car control, and he doesn't make mistakes.

"He has that special talent that doesn't come along that often, and he has the right mental attitude as well, which is another big thing that a driver needs.

"We don't just want a driver who's going to get to F1 - that's not good enough for us.

"We want a driver who's got the potential to be world champion."

Button parted company with the Robertsons earlier in his F1 career, but they continue to look after Raikkonen's affairs as the Finn prepares for his first season in the World Rally Championship.
