Hey guys, I know some of you do not like drag races but tonight at Kennedale they are having the King Of the Hill Races. These cars are hot. 4 second ets and 160 mph in the 1/8 mile. I am on the way out now. It is $15 to get in on the spectator side and $20 for the pits. Pay $15, park on the spectator side and walk over to the pitside if you want. They do not check for pit passes.

Kennedale is a neat little drag strip and it family friendly.........

Is drag racing where they go around the track in a circular motion?

No sir....I think that's called....drifting? Something like that. Of course, I could be wrong. ;) Drag racing must be when they tow something behind them as they go around the track. I think it adds more excitement as whatever they're towing swings around and hits the other cars. Sounds like family-friendly fun to me. :D

By jove, I think you've both got it.

However, the cars were going through the 1/8 mile in 4.5 seconds at over 160 mph. It was actually quite impressive and very loud.

Boy am I glad I didn't get hit by one of those things they were dragging while drifting around in circles...............:>)

1/8th of a mile? Wow! Those must have been really tight turns on that track.

yes, but the view from anywhere is great. Sit in the infield with the rest of the NASCAR redneck guys on a barstool in the back of your pickup and all you have to do is spin in the seat to see all the action. Laptimes are really, really short.... It gets real interesting when one of them pops their drag chute to slow them down........
