I just got off the phone with Kingsborne. They have a set of plug wires for a 1997 (5.2) for $395. I asked if these were BERU connectors etc and while the lady was nice I didn't get the feeling she knew. All she said was "they come from Italy". I see from doing a search on this topic that a few of you guys already have Kingsborne wires on with no problems.

Can you tell me if you purchased and installed Kingsborne part # IGN9793? Ferrari says they had Beru and Bosh and I see that coiled wire = bad so in the interest of getting the correct part or substitute I figure matching a part # is wise.

Otherwise Rutlands has a set in stock for $650.00. Ferrari is wire by wire @ $260. per wire. I need (2) wires so might as well buy the set from Rutlands or Kingsborne.

    Thanks for the input.

I have bought two sets of wires from Kingsborne for my 355 (5.2 Motronic) and both had Beru connectors on each end. The oem wires also had Beru connectors on each end. The Kingsborne had the later style Beru connectors on the spark plug side, and had (IIRC) 3 seals versus one seal on the original oem wire set.

(the reason I purchased two, was the first set was made with 8mm wires which was really a tight fit in the valve covers. During the major service a couple years later, I exchanged them for a 7mm set, which is all they make now)

I do not recall the Kingsborne part number. The product is very high quality and a literal bargain compared to oem.

$260 for each wire ? Cold day in hell before I pay that. Considering that the same Kingsborne outfit will sell me the pieces to make my own wire for $20, or less.
