This Sunday is the 12th annual Kirkland Concours d'Elegance. Last year (and this year), now in Tacoma at the LeMay Museum. On site will be many classes of highly sought after and desired automobiles - including a Ferrari class.

A focus class will be the 911 Porsche - as is the 50th anniversary.

If so inclined, please consider attending. Almost 100% of net proceeds (including admission) are donated to Children's Hospital.

If any additional prompt is needed, weather should be quite nice on Sunday.

I had a blast last year showing the Countach on the field along with the other Lamborghini owners: Roy, John, Tom and Lawrence.

Look forward to attending again, but this year as an entrant.

And remember this also a great chance to visit the LeMay museum as admission is included in your Concours ticket.

Congrats on your 275 GTB/4's Best In Class award, Brown. (Even if Edward Hermann butchered Sequim as "SEE-QWIM" when announcing it. For next year, we'll have to tip him off to say it correctly, along with Medina-- rather than Medeena.) Ed, Dominic and I stood there for quite a long while just going back and forth between your car and Jon's 250 California Spider asking ourselves how to pick between two perfect (and equally well-presented) cars and going on between the long and valid credentials of either taking the honors. On this day in this setting we all felt the 275 GTB/4's lines (one of the sexiest of any car at any time) just made it the winner. Luckily, Jon's car didn't go home empty handed, as it took the Junior Judges' Best In Show Trophy, plus his Alfa took a Committee award.

Any more pictures of that 250 California Spyder in the background? Beautiful collection of cars.

This shot was on their Facebook page. Photo curtosy of Bob Gassen Humanature photography.

The Junior Judges picked it as their 2013 selection.

    Sam -

Thank you for the nice comments and nice to see you on Sunday. Frankly a bit surprised with first in class (Jon's 250 Cali is simply beautiful), however maybe it is simply that the 275 GTB's are starting to have their 15 minutes of fame.

A beautiful car when we purchased it 12 years ago and (not surprisingly) remains a favorite today. The car came with a surprisingly good history as well.

I am fortunate to be its present caretaker - and hope to be for quite a while.

It was well deserved Brown! I remember when you brought that car out to our Italian Concours the year we held it at "South Lake Union", back in 2005. It probably garnered more attention than anything! Simply stunning car!

    Mike

P.S. Note Eric "Photo Bombing" in the background too! LOL!
