"Non valves is certainly not quiet enough." I believe that is my argument. Maybe Fresh should address that statement, not me, because we're in agreement.
Did volume drop on the valved system (compared to non-valved) under WOT? If so, how much would you guestimate?
Well it could be that I lost more hearing. But jokes aside I instantly felt a bit quieter. Perhaps 5-10% at worst
just put kline on 360 with topspeed headers and topspeed 200 cats. sounds divine and it screams. Previously had non valved cap 3 muffler and the drone/loudness was unbearable for daily driving while the high-rev scream was piercing. just switched to the kline and it's so much more enjoyable when valves are closed, zero drone, and pretty close to the high pitch scream the cap 3 had. i sent @ShineKen some video clips (feel free to post them if you want) current 430 with cap headers and cap 200 cats. Just ran the factory sport exhaust for a while and its very bassy (lost all my gurgles and pops too), i prefer the oem muffler. moving to a kline muffler in the next couple weeks.
Been saying this for years. A member here thinks that valves are "gimmicks" I'm still enjoying my Kline! I'm catless so I get gurgles and pops. I have a Mase tune but it wasn't program to for that purpose.
Who the heck is that delusional to think valves are gimmicks? Haha. They can put their ear right up to my exhaust tips if they’d like.
Oh that’s Alwin! Hahaha he’s in a different world [emoji48] My valves have been a godsend. Granted it’s quieter on open but in the current situation in OC, car guys are being persecuted like we are terrorists., so valves save my butt. Edit: clarity
I can only imagine what you guys in SoCal go through. ... LoL The wireless valve remote on the Kline can be troublesome. It can be temperamental with heat in the engine bay. I think it's better to to get the Forza system and have the button wired in.
I have the forza and Mine sticks too. I played around with the valve and determined at least for mine it sticks from moisture/soot/heat. I’ve had 4 forza systems and they’ve all been incredible.
I'm using the current version of the Capristo controller and remote on the Kline It's tucked away back under the engine bay cover behind the F1 pump and so is protected by the exhaust heat shields Only just started using it but no issues
I got on the list when they’re ready, thanks for the heads up! How’s the install work? Great part on the Scud there isn’t a whole lot of interior to fiddle with if you need to run a cable somewhere, hah.
Hate to say it, but I think the Kline valve controller system is not consistent enough at the moment. Would save alot of headache to simply go with Forza as it is very difficult to pinpoint the issue with the Kline controller if something goes wrong. It's a shame because I think it is the nicest looking system out there.
Yup....You have to protect the wires and the module from the heat along with moving the module. It takes a little bit of work but my suggestion is to just get the Forza unit with the cool switch TT posted.
Do you hear the relay inside clicking? On my Forza with the exhaust off you can hear the relay clicking open and shut. On my system I’ve noticed that sometimes the valves themselves become stuck
Yep it is. Beyond the cold start…putting around in 4th gear @ 25-35mph in either valved vs non-valved is pretty indistinguishable. I should post sound clips of both and see how many of you get it wrong, I mean right. Though I guess if you intend on being heavy on the throttle on neighborhood roads or happen to live on a one-way street that only goes up a steep incline and don’t want to piss your neighbors off, then sure valved systems make sense for you. In all other use cases, meh, upshifting is your free valve system. No burnt wires or gimmicky remotes required. And lol @ Capristo being “high pitched”. Give me a break…
Yes, I can hear the valves opening and shutting with the remote. I think the problem with the Kline wireless is that the valves flutter uncontrollably. Do you have the same problem with the Forza?
