knock knock...BOOM!

car starts knocking...(3 days ago) i thought it was one of the a axels they replaced..but when i brought it to work they told me the engine was done and it would only last a week before it blew. (only knocks when pushing it hard) so I have been going slow...

well today at 3pm I'm on my way home coming up I-95 and just when im thinking "uhmm whats it like to blow a engine when driving"______turned into-

I'm coming up to my exit and give it some gas to pass a semi, but it was not getting any faster.
at that point i turned off the radio and heard THEE worst engine sound ever, it sounds like the last 9sec. of this video

and as im looking behind me to get over I see a butt load of smoke and chucks falling out.
and then it locked up and I swerved over to the side......smoke all over...cars stoped trying to get around all the parts.....I call AAA and they tell me to wait (like I can go anywhere) and they will be there soon, after I get off the phone I thought the car was on fire, I poped the hood and got my fire extinguisher out....but unfortunately it wasnt..AAA came out and pick up the car and we go to the dealer.
they didnt know what to think, they will look at it tomorrow

they are now going to fix it.

the thing was I didnt know what te noise was and i asked the guys at work, they looked it over and said try not to drive it over the weekend (and i didnt) and go slow and you will be fine (so I did) and any time it made the noise I let off the gas.

we were going to put oil in it but it was where it needed to be, but on my way home on mon. I saw the light was coming on...so i checked the oil and it was fine.

when they looked at the car today they said they think the oil pump failed....but they realy dont know what happend.

I REALLY want to know what happend...I change the oil every 2-3 months, and i never saw a engine leak....only my trans (which is new btw)
and I have not done anything to it since then, because they never fixed my car from when they put the trans and the 2 axels in (the car felt like something was loose)

 

I was going to bring it in on Sat. but they didnt have a loaner car, and my mom when out of town and parked her car in plantation at a friends house, so i didnt have a car.

and they still dont have a loaner which sucks cause my mom comes home tonight.
