I am still looking and scouring the internet for the right one to come my way. This Testarossa has been around for some time. What is the general feel about this vehicle and what is the "This Testarossa is one of 20 factory cars fitted with a "knock on" single wheel nut system." they mention? Something special or the ordinary single nut system?

Edit: I thought a 1985 should have been a flying mirror. What year was the flying mirror replaced?

Maybe they meant that there were only 20 early TRs with knock off wheels originally sold in the South African market. Doesn't look like anything special to me -- other than the wheels obviously being aftermarket. (and, on a TR, it's actually a single wheel bolt -- not a nut).

The red paint and red hoses in the engine bay are a definite "minus" for me. Interesting fabricated coolant overflow tank though...

As a buyer, you should definitely say that you don't like the painted red lower spoiler/rockers nor the dual lower mirrors (whether you do, or don't, like them ;)). The exterior mirror(s) are a change that could/can be made after the car was originally sold -- so any TR might have any exterior mirror combination now regardless of how they were originally delivered.

downside of the cool looking flying mirrors-you can only see the drivers side. I test drove one with the flying mirror on both sides (yes it had been added) for all intents it was unuseable. You need the later mirrors if you was to see both sides.

I never drove a flying mirror TR or even sat in one. But my 87 TR with low mirrors has excellent rear visibility.

That's some crazy-but-cool exhaust system on that car, I'd like to see more pics of it.

    Hi

The car is ours, we've bought it last year. We have made the stuff in the engine bay original(the red intake and the horses). The car is fantastic except there was a problem with the box and it has now been overhauled by Ferrari, but the car is really awesome and fast

    Regards
