Mechanic just called to say the knock sensor is bad on 2002 360. Said the seats need to come out, the fire wall off, the water pump out and the power steering pump removed and then he may be able to get to the sensor. Anyone know if this is the proceedure as I am sure this is thousands of dollars to replace a sensor. thanks for any replies.

According to the Service Time Schedule (big, big, big caveat), if you change them via the access panel, the front sensor takes 3.9 hours and the rear sensor takes .4 hours. Sensors are #52 and #66 on the attached diagram.

See attached, and take it for what it's worth (or not).
