Just when everything seems to be running perfectly at the back I start getting this knocking noise up front! I changed the front shocks last year, so it can't be those... Anyone have any ideas before I jack it up and take a peak? On the subject of'shocks how many turns should the shocks be adjusted to? Thanks in advance.. Nick
I have had a look, there is a V small amount of wheel bearing movement, no steering play and nothing loose.. Ideas please?
Sounds like a ball joint problem to me. I had this problem with a Corvette I had in my 20's, and I couldn't get the sound to appear by jumping up and down on the car or fiddling with the suspension parts either.
This is what I initially thought, but if I move the disk with the wheel off there is no obvious play anywhere.
This was the reason, all the bushes perished, the shock riding over and rubbing on the suspension arms.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
