Hello, I have a 2009 599 GTB Floriano with 97,000 km on the clock. This is the second time this has happened to me. After a short trip on a hot day, I have a metallic knocking sound coming from the right side of the engine. I'm uploading a video. What could be the cause? Valve, valve adjustment, hydraulic valve clearance adjustment, or maybe the timing chain? The manual doesn't show the replacement interval for the tensioners and timing chains. Has anyone encountered this problem? The computer doesn't show any errors. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Regards.

It doesn't work like that normally, you can hear a clattering sound with a metallic sound

Are you sure that the proper oil additive for the 599 was used with the last oil change ?

Yes, the additive is being added, and another oil change is coming soon. Oddly enough, it comes and goes; sometimes there are no symptoms for several hundred kilometers. Otherwise, I'll drive 5 km and the sound will reappear.

The only regular knocking that I know of are the timing chains when the car is cold, this goes away as the car warms up.

This rule doesn't apply here; it appears the fault lies with the hydraulic valve adjuster. The chains are quiet, and there are no signs of stretched or worn timing chains. I'm wondering what the timing chain interval is on the 599?
