    You might want to say what town in MD you live in, since most lawn service companies stay fairly local to keep costs down.

    How big is the lawn??? Are you doing the work yourself?? Essentially, you can go rent an aerator for $60 for the weekend. Use the aerator in the spring to help the lawn "breathe" and throw down some seed. Then sign up with Scotts online and they will send you email reminders when it is time to fertilize and you will have a healthy green lawn in no time!!

    Its best to aerate in the fall and also lime at the same time and seed a few days later, but it wont hurt to do it in the spring either.

    I have never not had a green lawn following these simple steps.
