That little dealer directly across the street had a 2006 (I think) Maserati QPorte for sale in December.
On my way to work this morning there was a baby blue Bentley Continental GT heading south on I-35...........on a flatbed.
Some friends of mine went and checked it out today. It was in the back storage. From what it sounds it could be had for far less than the buy it now price.
Yellow F430 has been confirmed and the MGB, blew the doors off the Diablo. We all had a good time. Anyone want an invite in the future, send me a PM. Ray Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As much as I hate to admit it..... I actually had a good time today ---- BTW, how the hell did I get stuck with the tab at the "after-meeting" out West ?! --- you bloody wankers RON & STEVE --- very nice meeting both of you today .......next time......I will endeavor to bring something more "interesting" than a Japanese SUV Hey 'Ray-o-Sunshine', you know if Jim and I also show up at some point, we're gonna need more parking spots out there !
Hey "CAM GUY" ---- very nice 'sandbag', by the way Shoot Ray (Akram) a PM if you ever want to join us some time down at the Star Bar I keep meaning to invite Russell, too.....but, it always slips my mind ---- I'll make a point of it next time I see him.
"and the MGB, blew the doors off the Diablo" Just too save the Lambo's pride, I pulled a sneaky one. He got stuck behind a soccer mom in a suv and I pulled into the bicycle lane to go around them. But now, by God I can say I passed a Lambo in my MG. LOL Rotten lil' Ronnie ;0
I'm just impressed you stayed in the right-hand lane --- some of those British cars have a built-in tendency to wander to the left And, oh yeah.... Mayor Cownie told me to tell you that he is very disappointed you aren't using "his bike lanes" as intended
LOL, I'll be sure to send the good Mayor a full mea culpa along with my opinion of his @#$%^& bike lanes ! Sorry if I've offended anybodies politically correct sensibility's......NOT Ron
Thanks all for this splendid gathering. I look forward to many more and seeing if we can find a few more folks with a car fetish to join us. To warmer, sunny and Topless days.......Steve
Just so there are no hard feelings to those who think they were not invited, this was not a formal gathering. I like to get out of the house once a week and have a drink with the boys and I tend to call locals who like to do the same. If you want a formal invite in the future send me a PM and I can call you. This is not an every Sunday thing or a private club or meeting. Anyone and everyone that wants to get out for a drink and look at some nice cars is welcome. Thank You, Ray
Drat, wish I didn't work Sundays... You need another MGB there! P.S. Was it you I helped with the battery for your alarm system a few months ago?
We really need to put a large group together but outcome is always so unpredictable. Anyone is invited, I do not own the Star Bar. I did have alarm issues last year and with help and advise, replaced the internal battery with recharable 9 Volts from Interstate Battery on 73 street, Windsor Heights.
OK Ray, since you have so graciously volunteered to organize us. Lets plan something for April sometime when we think the weather might be favorable. Comments welcome on the concept.
I would love to get to see it. I just got my F430 and am already thinking about ordering a 458 it just blows me away.......Steve
LOL, Showed the pics above with my old MG between you BIG DOGS to my 10 yr old G'son. He thought my car was the COOLIST !! Gotta love that kid ! Ron
He's already asked me several times if he can have it when he gets older. I always want to say "when you peel my dead cold fingers off the steering wheel" But that wouldn't be very nice of ol' G'pa to say. True, but not nice LOL Ron
Spotted a red Lotus on Merle Hay this morning at about 11:30. Couldn't tell if it was Exige or Elise. Made a hell of a sound though.
That was probably Joe he has been doing a lot of work on his car, which reminds me I should get him to join the site.
