stock 512s are more on the order of 3300-400lb, and M's 3100lb. Normal TR's are the heavy ones...

if a Mclaren F1 can manage 241 MPH with much much less than 1000BHP under the hood then I don't see why this Koenig 512TR shouldn't achieve the claimed 230 MPH top end.

It doesnt matter how much hp you got if you have the gears for top speed.

hp only gets you there faster

Ah, my mistake on the weight. Even so, it would still take a good bit more than 1000hp. The power to weight ratio still isn't high enough to even go below 20 sec. Correct me if I am wrong, but the car still has a full interior, and very little weight saving has been performed, so it probably weighs around 3300lb. If anyone has a magazine test or anything that confirms these numbers, please share. :)

I'm not debating the topspeed claim, I'm sure it could manage that, I'm only questioning the acceleration numbers.

Also, it retains gen 1 Testarossa deck lid pillar vents only found on the first gen cars. Not to mention the amber lights inside the rear grill.

Also, the interior gauge design for the center group of gauges is too much "like a 348" and less "like a 355", thought it should be said, it was the design inspiration for both the 348 and 355 interiors, as it came first. See the attached pictures.

Koenig said the power/weight ratio on that particular car is 1.59 kg/hp, meaning the weight is 1590 kg x 2.2 = 3498lb

    I don't believe their 0-300 time either.

I did put all the calculations on the CARTEST.EXE program.
The result showed 0-300 in around 18s.
The possible way is to reach 300km/h in around 16s is to have a gearbox which shift in 0.1s (Quaife sequential maybe?)

Download the program here, go to bottom of page, it's quite fun:
    http://www.cartestsoftware.com/cartest4.5/
You can custom make the car's dyno sheet to compensate for turbo lag in the lower rpms, shift time, etc.

Guess you wont enjoy this then :) LOL

This is my Koenig 512TR, it has the Koenig body on it but the engine (500hp+) is stock Ferrari only difference is the Motech ignition system, for now, while the trans is a Ferrari box w internals by Bob Wallace

Maybe by 06 she will have a 600hp + naturally aspirated Monster Ted Wenz race engine :)
