It hurts the value.

But I don't care. I love the car.
Would buy one if they had a transmission that wouldn't break when you added extra horsepower.

Knew a guy here in Texas that owned one of those in the late 80's. It was like the black one in the photo. Last I heard, he was in federal prison for tax evasion. The car was blinding fast though.
