We dyno'd my car again, turned up the boost to 17 pounds, still on pump gas. Dyno'd at 660 to the rear, which is about 750-800 horsepower, depending on 15% to 20% friction loss. We're changing intercoolers next, 1987 technology, we think we can lower temps quite a bit. We think 700 rwhp is possible at same boost. Our long term goal is 22 to 23 pounds , should be 800 to the rear.
If anybody has taken weight off car, knows what certain parts weigh, let me know. Don't want to get to radical, maybe seats, etc.

Have you weghed your car? I am running a Norwood Twin Turbo setup with HRE wheels and Brembo brakes. The turbo set up is with straight pipes so no muffler weight, the HRE wheels are lighter than stock and so is the Brembo brake kit. The Ferrari web site says the TR weight is 3660 lbs. dry, I weighed my car with a set of "race scales" (one for each wheel) and the "wet weight" was 3633 lbs. If you factor the weight of the fluids I would assume somewhere around 100 lbs. Would be interested in the weight of your car and your plans to reduce weight.

We did weigh the car, corner balanced. It weighed 3527, that is with all the fluids, and 1/2 tanks of gas...about 13 gallons (that is close to 100 pounds). It is lighter because it is a Euro model, plus Koenig removed the front and rear bumpers.
I would be real happy at 3200-3300 pounds. Maybe seats will save 50 pounds.
It does sound (engine)awesome. Any track events in Fla in the next couple of months...hurricane permitting?

I plan to remove the steel reinforcement from my bumpers as well, for track events will remove the spare, jack etc. that has to be 60-70 lbs. Did you have the spare and jack in your car when you weighed it?

I did have the spare and tool kit in car, will probably remove spare. I don't know if I will be able to remove center lug nut torqued at 340 pounds anyway.

    To put it into perspective, what sort of performance will 650 - 800 bhp give - 0-60, 0 - 100 1,320 etc?

I think you meant 750-800 hp,, we're guessing a trap speed of about 135. I'll probably run the 1/4 mile in the next month or 2 , an easy run (not too hard on the clutch, slow launch). Little worried too launch hard , but trap speed should be the same. I'll keep you guys posted.

    Thanks,

    Stunning powerband!

You should easily trap mid 130s with 659 RWHP,you will need hardcore drag tires of course for a quick ET though! Just out of curiosity, what is the best 1/4 mile run by a twin-turbo TR? There have definitely been a lot of them that produced massive HP...........
