Winter is quickly passing and my plan is to rebuild the front shocks on my 308. I have a couple questions and am hoping that others have rebuilt them before. I have searched but did not find any detail on the rebuild.

    First - Tools
What tools are needed to rebuild the shocks? Some type of wrench is required to take them apart but what exactly is it.

    Second - Parts
In the event I need to replace any parts, what is the best source?

Any tips on the procedure are greatly appreciated.

Somewhere on this site using search you will find a step by step of doing the R&R on the Konis. I do know that the discussion went into spring compressors and what not to use if you want to live through it. So, you will need one of those. I also believe that the WSMs for the 308s do go into detail as well. Also, there are other web pages that go thru the step by step if you do a google search. Good luck. Also check for the BRADAN 308 GT4 restoration thread. They are doing it with pictures:

    towards the end somewhere.

Thanks, I did do a search but did not find what I was looking for but I did not have much time. I will search again on the weekend.

As luck would have it, my spring compressors do not work with these springs so I do need another set.
