    Anyone know if a special " D" shock is gas charged? I read on a few sites that it is, but Koni site has no mention of gas

    older 70s - 80's special D orange koni's were hydraulic. just tighter valving as i recall

    I spoke with koni. And they were not gas shocks as I suspected. The vendor websites must have the wrong general description listed.
