If you go to barchetta.cc and click through, finecars.cc will pop up in a separate window on top of barchetta.cc You will find "Important high end collectable classics sold during the last weeks" on the lower part of that page. Best, Dave

At least one of the prices included in that article included cash plus trades. The value of the cars taken in trade may or may not be accurate as to the total published.
This "list" is incorrect. Two of the cars listed were actually traded even with no money involved at all. Two cars were sold as a package together but with far different values than indicated. One of the cars listed sold for double the price indicated in the list. Marcel Massini
Jim, thank you as well for all the information you post on F-Chat. Most of it is invaluable. Best, Tony
Why would anyone sell this amazing group of cars as a package?? Why not sell them at the RM Maranello auction?? It would be the perfect venue for these amazing Ferrari's. If I was a debtor I dont think I wuld be to thrilled with the outcome of the sale to Tom Price. I guess with the bankruptcy they are not concerned with maximizing on the sale price. Kind of reminds me of the sale of the 20 something 'Shakespeare' Bugatti's in the 60's to the Schlumf brothers for $250k....
There is NO Ferrari auction by RM at Maranello this year. And if there was such a factory auction again all the cars would have to be factory certified before anyway. Several of the cars in that (former) Dutch collection have non-matching engines or have been rebodied or extensively modified and there are even a few replicas in the group. Impossible to certify. The cars were owned by a lease company and my guess is that they wanted their money back as quickly as possible. So when somebody wants to buy the whole bunch... Besides: there is no Maranello sale this year... (edit: marcel was quicker to respond)
The lease company was owned by Kroymans but it was a subsidiary of the Kroymans holding structure. It was the banks that wanted their money from the holding company. It is a tax benefit if you set up a company to lease the cars out to yourself. But if the holding company folds, the cars are no longer yours but the debtors of the holding company since the lease company was owned by the (f/h)olding company. At least, this is how I understand the story. Onno
I hope this is not a repost. http://online.wsj.com/video/investing-in-a-20-million-ferrari/DF167850-6A50-4727-90BB-0C386950FD81.html Gotta git a GTO! Dale
The sale of Price's GTO was done through driversource in Texas. the Newownersname can be seen in thelistings on exhibitors. But not enough time to conclude the sale made it a no show. thomas Hamman contacted Jose at driversource and they split a commission. This was also handled by the same CT. Atty Kramer. Not bad 2 GTOs sold in one month.
Trying to avoid the snow heading west from here(MI) looking forward to visiting cars along the way to CA
Marcel, I believe this car was built with a Competition engine, do you know how many steel body SWB were supplied with Comp engines?
Sorry, yes referring to 2365GT. I believe these steel body cars with comp features were referred to as semi competizione?
