I know that this board is generally favorable about KTR and there service department. I am wondering if any one has any knowledge as to the restoration department and their ability to squirt paint on classics? Thank You David.
Bob Hatch's guys were the standard for high end (+ somewhat pricey) paint quality in NE. I belive that the key guys have gone out on their own since Bob sold his business - can't remember the name of the new shop, but that's who FoNE use for their paint. I'd suggest giving Nick or Steve a call.
Dan, Thanks I know well about the guys from Hatch, the old manager David is his name is down the road from FONE I met with him but I was not impressed with the facility and the fact that David now has to answer to a boss. I know when he was at Hatch he had an owner to answer to but he ran the Restoration shop as it was his own,not the same where he is now. I just did not see the same quality coming from that shop as I did when David was at Hatch.
They have repaired the deep Euro front valance a few times on the 308 here and also some other body work/bits. KTR's body/paint guy is VERY detail oriented (dare i say retentive), so expect the hours to add up and if you are a fanatic then KTR is the place IMHO. Paint match has been perfect, no overspray, etc. So yes, am very happy if you want super detailed top quality work.
