Kubica to replace Massa in 2011?

Told to slow down!!... laughable
He was on the wrong tyres it nearly paid off, he did well,to get where he was, however Hamilton had pitted to get wet tyres on thats why he closed him down on the last corner.

Oh well if the above is what you believe..explain why he ... oh forget it..

 

Kubica is not going anywhere. Has a perfectly good thing going on with Renault. Renault will do very well next year!

 

Mmmm. Let's think about this. Which would you chose - Ferrari - the most illustrious team in F1 history, or Renault who are persistently rumored to be leaving the sport? Kubica is doing a Fred and keeping the Renault seat warm whilst he weighs up his options at a proper team...

Don't forget that had Ferrari not used illegal team orders, that Massa also wouldn't have even been within 1 point.

I think banning team orders is silly... but not as silly as circuitous and paper thin arguments conjured up to justify why Massa was somehow the moral/righteous/deserving winner in 08. He wasn't...

The Piquet argument doesn't hold water... there are any number of things that could have happened differently. Had it been discovered and Renault penalized, Hamilton would have won by more. At the last race, Hamilton ran conservatively. He needed to finish 5th or whatever, and he did precisely that. How can one think that they could adjust the gap between Hammy and Massa without causing any adjustment to McLarens and Hamiltons actions?

 

People on here really need to relax and cut Massa some slack...two straight podiums. Enough said. Alonso is still the #1, the team works well together, and Massa has been holding his own.

What more do you want? Do you really think that Kubica is going to improve on this situation? Vettel I could understand, but not Kubica. Lest we forget Massa has something like 6 straight points finishes and that is going back to that dog F60 before he got hurt.

 

I totally agree. It's impossible to say what else would have happened.

 

Kubica may or may not be better than Massa but I really don think they need him regardless. They have Alonso, a driver who thrives when he gets the majority of the attention. He's shown he can deliver the goods and Massa can bring in enough points for the WCC. If they can get Vettel or if Massa's performances drop off badly then it makes sense. Otherwise there's no need for a change.

Makes it look so easy. Just three GP, he singlehandedly hoists Renault, fifth in points. Lewis Hamiltons come; Lewis Hamiltons go. Guys like Robert Kubica are once in a lifetime. They are going to love him at Ferrari.

Who wouldn't?

Yeah Massa is only leading the championship after coming back from a horrific injury that would lead most to retirement. I think SF needs to get rid of that ridiculous excuse for a driver.

 

Massa will leave Ferrari on his own, not by being replaced. He has without question proven himself to the people that make the decisions. That's why there is no #1 driver at Ferrari until Monza.
