Guys I am converting a Kyosho 1:12 scale blk F40 from regular to LW lightweight. I am trying to figure out a few things hope you more knowable Ferrari guys can help. I found a 1 or 2 photos of blk F40's with the LW sliding windows, but none show the interior.

So I do not know if the present red interior LW door panels I have, should be painted a matching gloss blk or a rather dark grey ,I can't tell by looking at it .

In real photo's of red F40 with regular panels they appear dark grey. Of cousre all red F40's with LW inner door panels, they are gloss red to match car.

When looking at the Kyosho 1:12 F40's regulars the inner door panels appear to be a dark grey ?? to match that inner inner / interior floor panel tub. Not sure if what Kyosho used for the Regular inner door panels is a dark grey or light blk ??

You guys take a close look in proper light at you Kyosho 1:12 F40's with regular inner door panels. How best do you think I could achieve a match for the inner LW door panels to go with a blk F40. Should I paint them dark grey ?? , flat black and lightly wipe it a bit to get just that wee bit of shine that appears abit on the 1:12 regular door panels or should I paint the LW inner door panels semi gloss blk.

On the Kyosho 1:48 blk F40 LW car they used gloss blk for the inner LW door panels and it's middle inset is either again dark grey or flat blk or semi blk ???

Well you have to remember, all F40's were originally red. The sliding window cars all came with red inner door panels, and the roll up cars have bare carbon fiber inner door panels. Myself, I would do the inner door panels red since the car will have the sliding windows and it will match the seats.
