24 hours into ownership of a "Detailed" 1/43 Enzo, both mirrors are smashed the hell off thanks to a sh1tty case.

The engine detail is nowhere near as good as the pictures on the internet led me to believe.

How the GD hell are you supposed to look at the alleged engine detail if everytime you pick it up the case sprigs off, clipping a mirror with it?

Now instead of having something that will be worth 2X what I paid for it in a year, it's never going to be worth as much as I paid.

The Spark 1/43 Pagani Zonda F Roadster is a masterpiece (car AND case) compared to Kyosho's garbage.

    Never again.

Wow! I thought Kyosho 1:43s would be good judging by their superb 1:18s.

Ditto... My only Kyosho 1:43 is a white Diablo GTR. I haven't bothered to try inspecting it up close - i.e., I've never removed the plastic dome on the case - so I can't speak to its fragility, but after reading your account, I'm fairly sure I'll just leave it alone on the shelf! Sorry to hear about your experience....

I was surprised to read this as I was thinking of starting my 1:43 collection with the Kysoho F40 and 365GTB/4.

Anyone else have any feedback on the quality of Kyosho 1:43?

    Thanks.

FWIW, I received my Kyosho 1:43 F40 and 365 GTB/4 and they're not bad at all. I also bought, and am waiting to receive an IXO 288GTO, a Kysoho F50 and a Redline F40LM; looking forward to checking out the different levels of quality at the different price points. Thought I would always stick with 1:18 exclusively, but looks like that isn't going to happen.

Thought about collecting the 1/43's but too small to see any good detail.. Also they costs as much as the 1/18's - I have a few 1/43 that I would sell now if anyone is interested----don't need them...

But then again, how well detailed is your run of the mill Hotweels 1/18? Not all that much.

I wanted to close the loop on this from my end. As part of my “experiment” with 1:43, here are three Kyoshos (365GTB/4, F40, F50), one IXO (288 GTO) and one Red Line (F40 LM).

I think the Red Line is very impressive, and for the price, the Kyoshos are reasonably nice. Only complaints with them are i) one F40 side view mirror had come off and ii) the F50 front bonnet won't fully close.

The IXO is “okay” and while I wish it had a clear cover like the others, I really can’t complain because these are often so cheap on eBay.

I may eventually get a MakeUp 288 GTO (as suggested in another thread) but the conclusion of my experiment is that I want to stick with 1:18.

    Apologies for the bad pictures.
