I think it is great. Finally a good representation of an iconic car.
I think that the pictures kinda twist it a little.

GTO is OK... a little to much "bling" for a GTO...I could go on but let's face it...it's a diecast. If you want real passion buy a HAND BUILT MODEL...cmon...it's a Ferrari and there should be no "cheap" Ferraris. Just a little bias being a builder myself ;)

I like the F40 ...very cool.

will have to wait to see final as I suppose this is a prototype, but right off I'd say something is not right with the wire wheels that seems to spoil the effect.

That's what I noticed too (the tires on the front wheels look too flat as well). Maybe I have to wait and see it in the metal but Kyosho has had some trouble with the overall shape of their models. I don't know if the pictures are twisted or not but the front fenders look out of shape.

If you know the 1:43 make up/eidolon ferrari's, you know their quality is superb.

Make Up has anounced a 1:12 250 GTO!!!!! (must be worth the wait....)

Was anounced a year ago, and will probably take another one or two years, but will be a stunner!

totally agree. For the GTO; not as good as their great Daytonas, but far better than their 3x8s. Another lost chance ?

    Best Regards from Germany

    Okay, it is damn nice....

    BUT

I see two issues. 1- The nose seems to be a tad "droopy"
2- The wire wheels seem to be a little "thin".

Bottom line, besides those two issues, it looks damn nice to me....

    Guy,

If 1/18th scale is what you're looking for, what are your options? Are you going to wait for the promised 250GTO from Exoto? I'm an optomist by nature but, after having one on order with Exoto for over 5 years, I think it's safe to assume it will never materialize. Well, there's always Mattel (ugh!!) Sure, I'm guessing it's not perfect but, at this point in time, it's the only game in town!

Now, if you're willing to spend around ten times the price, you can always have one done in 1/24th scale by a custom builder like Alex Kustov. A beauty for sure but far from the roughly $90.00 price of the Kyosho.

I know what's available out there right now in 1/18 scale and it can't hold a candle to this Kyosho GTO. Maybe my standards are a bit high but when I buy a model I want it to be satisfying. I don't care too much about the price as long as it looks right. This means that most of the models in my collection are in the Exoto/CMC/BBR range. But even AutoArt or Minichamps are a bit above Kyosho IMHO and they are in the same price range.

Exoto, CMC and BBR are better quality but again, considerably more expensive for someone who has limits on what they can, or will spend. Exoto and the 250GTO are a lost cause. CMC, unfortunately, seems to have no plans to produce one at this time. A real shame because, IMHO, their quality is the best. Also no plans, that I'm aware of, for BBR to do one in 1/18th scale so, again we're back to Kyosho as the only one in 1/18th scale. Unless there is something wrong with it that I can't see in the photos, I'd say it's a good buy at the asking price. I'm sure it's not perfect but no one should expect perfection at a price of $90.00US.
