here a picture from 1975 still in original Giallo Fly 20-Y-191 .... in Germany Image Unavailable, Please Login
...what about the wooden steering wheel? With such a high chassis number, shouldn't that be a leather steering wheel? I mean in the photo, what matthias posted above, you can also see a leather steering wheel!?
is the transaxle 640M correct for 00822? report says 607 L at 369 not 607R at 640M which dino is 640M for? Grazie Image Unavailable, Please Login
Which is harder to find, leather or wood? It took years for me to find the proper L leather steering wheel, and it was in terrible shape. Whereas, I have been offered 1 wood one, for EU 2,000. Perfectly restored. Should have bought it. The seats are kind of funky. Regards, Alberto
I am being offered a used, but not overly so, no cracks, 206 wheel, dented hub, wrong horn button, and wrong cap nuts. All else is kosher. They want 5K EU for it. Too much? Regards, Alberto
Well, it sold for less than 1/2 mill. I think a low price for such an exclusive Dino. Nobody said anything about the wheel spinners, seats, etc. and instead of losing face, the owner lowered his expectations, instead of a "no sale" like the 'droop nose' Dino. They are good, and BaT favourites, great reputation outfit, and I think they know when to get up, and cash the chips. Then, the questions will arise unless the buyer simply liked the 'funny' wheel spinners. Who cares about 'stinkin' numbers, no? It has a nice wood wheel, after all it is a great car... Regards, Alberto
With the BAT fee, total sales price was $502k. Although not perfect, I still believe it was one heck of a deal. The Reserve was met, but I honestly thought it would bring more. Obviously some of the BAT comments were valid and the market spoke. Transaction completed, and it will soon be headed to its new home. Alberto, headed not far from you.
S/n 00822 has been purchased as a Dino basis for a full blown restoration project. Soon to be completely stripped and fully restored to factory spec standards. On its way back to Giallo Fly.
