You know, the recent threads on "Harold & Kumar" and "The Classic Coach Shuttles" has gotten me thinking:

The Tri-State Region of Ferrari Chat needs a Summer Intern.

Seriously! We could use them to watch our cars at the theatres, pick us up at Classic Coach, train them to detail our cars, send them on errands for us like picking up stuff at Technik1, fetching the wait staff at Ruby Falls, managing the crowds and making flippant comments to people when we're parked outside Cherry, and of course: finding b!tches. They would be so infinitely useful to the crew.

    Thoughts?

And the picture of Emil carrrying that bucket & magazines Immediately jumped to mind. LMAO.

Yes, I know Emil is no intern. I'm sure that picture was simply demonstrating to some applicant just how to exhibit the proper intern attitude. lol

You guys are thinking way too small. On the old site about 2 years ago when I first started lurking here, the guys were looking into purchasing a small town that was abondoned out west somewhere. It was going to be a ferrari town with no speed limits... etc.... It was a pretty funny idea, I think it was for sale for $18million. Houses, roads, small town, etc.

and here fellow "Playas" we have the aptly named Playas New Mexico available for $3,200,000.
    http://www.russlyon.com/playas/

    in summary
Originally developed between 1974 and 1977 by a mining company for its employees, Playas is comprised of 259 homes, 25 apartments, a community center, bowling alley/fitness center/snack bar, bank, post office, fire station, fully equipped medical facility with ambulance and two churches. There's also a rodeo arena, tennis courts, skeet/trap range, swimming pools and an airstrip.

i've often mused about trying to find a small country which could either be acquired or founded, but never thought of it in terms of a country that might primarily provide a home for ferraris.

i should add that i also never got very far with this idea. lawyers (those fun-wreckers) have consistently talked me out of it, and I don't think i've ever been able to locate any undisputed territory or a population, both of which are apparently necessary.

Emil -- this is a great idea. I'm totally down, as both an fchatter and as GDC, which would certainly use (and pay for) this service.

then the intern is going to need to

    1) Ride shotgon with someone for each event
    or
    2) Bring their own car which probably won't keep up
    3) Beat the bushes ahead of the pack for any pol-ice traps
    4) have a junky car to fend off any Talons: Perhaps a NY yellow cab?

    just some thoughts.
