more From iliasabawi The Ferrari 499P Modificata with its full exposed carbon body, seen here being tested in Fiorana last week! and the Ferrari Hypercar 499P No. 83 claimed the top step of the podium at the COTA in Austin (Texas/USA) after a six-hours-battle in the WEC-endurance race „Lone Star Le Mans“!!!! The F250 has some amazing race winning DNA and the 2 mute colors are Red and Yellow just the the 3 499Ps Image Unavailable, Please Login
In what respect? The XX runs rings around the GT3, irrespective of its weight. Mazda builds a 1000 kg MX5. Is it better than a 2000 kg Revuelto? More importantly, are they in the same class?
makes me believe in the rumored name being "499p stradale", even if the monocoque probably wont have anything in common with it.
I think a fair comparison will be the pricing of the F250 and McLaren P18. Car for car, one would expect them to be priced similarly…. assuming of course the P18 also uses a bespoke carbon tub.
I have not driven or been on track next to a SF90 XX yet. I will be doing a track day with one in the coming weeks. My guess ( as is my best mate the owner ) is that XX will be very fast for 7 miles and then the hybrid will give up, the brakes will over heat and the tires will be done.... But lets see... Have you driven both or either? Or is this you just making stuff once again?
Latest dealers have been told is that it's going to be V8 as far as I know. Think the EV rumor was a misunderstanding of Leiters' interview with Autocar
I don’t think so, Autocar is really cheap journalism. Just remember when they said the Chiron replacement will have a V8 TT hybrid.. P18, I guess, they are luckily right on this one.
It’s legit, they signed a deal with Ricardo who will manufacture a white label bespoke V8 for the new P18. McLaren may not be the best at building & selling their cars but they engineer them brilliantly. I look forward to seeing what they cook up.
By your own admission you are the one making stuff up about the hybrid system giving up and the brakes overheating. Things that don't occur even to the regular Stradale...

Sitting lower than any previous photo I’ve seen which suggests different ride height settings like the Senna/P1/FGT/Veyron. Would this be a first for Ferrari?
A second actually, after the Purosangue. That is if you are talking about active ride height control, because all Ferraris can be lowered on stock springs.
Puro has a lift mode. Not sure when I’ll ever use it (read: never). I was referring to a ‘track’ or ‘race’ mode where the car lowers for improved aero and handling.
Alright, got it. Such a system sounds nice but it adds a lot of weight. Then again, if the Valkyrie has it, why shouldn't the F250 have it?
I suppose it depends on the system. The Senna and P1 are relatively light cars so if McLaren can figure it out… The aero benefit and lower CG should more than offset the modest weight penalty.
I have been looking over the last few months of photo's and the Mutes with the blue tape Rims are lower than the black rims
What about the F40's active variable ride height system, primitive as it was, elicits a reassured "no"?
It was a suspension lifter to clear curbs. The ‘normal’ mode ride height is the same as a non-adjust F40.
The F250 will have it and so much more. You can change the ride height, center of gravity, camber and toe angle, and the way the air moves under the car with a pneumatic system to control the aerodynamic setup of the car. There is much more technology packed into the F250 than people realize. Should be a weapon!!
