One of the trademark applications was for La Rossa… has sort of a nice ring. As long as it’s not La Passione (or the like).. 499 LM ?

It will surely be able to act as aerobrake; actually, the LaF extended spoiler already worked that way.

I'm just waiting for downforce figures honestly, do not expect Valkyrie levels, undberbody is much more classical and it is stll a very usable road car, but less than 800 kg @250 kph would be disappointing.
On the other hand, what I'm really waiting for is to discover how much they can push the boundaries for the 250 XX, that will be the real deal.

Will it produce >=1000kg @250 kph? Better do it.
Will it be more beautiful than FXXK (IMHO, today's most beautiful modern Ferrari ever made in last 50 years)? Don't think so, but beauty is not the ultimate purpose on XX

The shape looks definitely more squared then previous LaF, but time has passed, new halo car need to be at the top of the range for 6 years at least, so they cannot afford to privilege beauty over function, The LaF was gorgeous when it came out, despite its downforce being pretty mediocre compared to P1. Nowadays, there are too many competitors, so Ferrari chose to forget about "no wing, more elegant" mantra which is only suitable for Roma and GT range, and put more racing mood in this one.
Can't wait to discover this and the XX version, with huge wing, flicks, louvres, mega diffuser, active wizardry and all necessary tricks to not all behind competitors.

At the end of the day, everybody and his dog is in love with Porsche GT3RS and GT2 RS, so I expect some more spicy 296 VS too....SF90 XX stradale is just a mild attempt in the right direction, Hopefully Ferrari board has resolved to bring back the super sports car range and leave elegance and smooth surfaces for Cote d'Azur promenade GT range.

I appreciate and respect your work since long ago, but I hope this time you're not accurate, to some extent: this would not look great to me, at all, as the final car.

I think it’ll look better in pictures and in ‘person’, but basically what you see is what you get, I think.

I like the very clean lines and the unique back, kind of reminds me of early ‘70s design studies like the Pininfarina 512S Speciale:

And I also think it has a lot of Countach elements, like the NACA scoop, ‘air box’ on the rear quarters, and the general surfacing of the body sides:

Let’s see if I can get it done before the actual release. ;)

What counts is performance and lap times, not a meaningless downforce number. If anything, aero efficiency (the correlation between downforce and drag) is more important and is what F1 aerodynamicists are after, not the maximum possible downforce.

How sure can we be that this exposed body work is the final product or the real deal? The test mule looks like a true frankenstein car. Could this be a very sophisticated disguise?

I agree, but 800kg @250kph should be a granny shot for a hyper car in 2024 that uses active aero.

Efficiency is valid up to a point and depending on the race track features(look at montecarlo, singapore, real life roads full of bends and few straights), in real life, road cars are mostly about bragging rights and power / downforce figures. Ferrari has always had good efficiency, f12 belinetta has good efficiency as well, but if you have low downforce it's easier to have more efficiency, good efficiency is more useful the more downforce you have...
This is why SF90 XX and FXXK Evo added wings, flicks, louvers, why the 296 wil have wing, they need more downforce in absolute number, not only the good efficiency of the base version.
