The wiring for the control electronics is heavy. Otherwise, why are the Ferrari HALO cars gettin' heavier and heavier ?!? Take for example the Laferrari. The engine weighs around 250 kg, the tub around 150-200, the gearbox 100 tops, so does all the extra 1 ton of weight come from ?!??????? It feels heavy compared to an F50.
It needs to be at least 2-300 kg lighter than the LaFerrari. A weight of around 1300 kg would be very good for a road car, 1000 kg is the dream but probably not doable due to all the hybrid crap.
This car will have electrified front axle. Electric motor at the rear V6TT Battery pack. Even with a full carbon tub and carbon bodywork the car will weight at least 1500kgs without fluids in the real life.
I think we already know the approximate specs and how it vaguely will be looked like. https://www.netcarshow.com/ferrari/2022-vision_gran_turismo_concept/ Let's remember they have claimed 1255kg dry for LaFerrari but it was close to 1600kg kerb.
What ever the new SF-90vs specs are the Halo will exceled.. only about 3 months away on that one now.
I begin to think that you are not even allowed drive. The cars are getting heavier because they are getting physically larger and more rigid. The Laferrari is about 200 kilos heavier than the Enzo not because of the electronics, but because of the hybrid components. Plus of course all the necessary safety parts. I have not not driven an F50, but the F40 feels heavier than any newer Ferrari! Drive one and you will get it! No it does not have to be anything. All it needs is ro feel good! I have had enough with you. Have you ever driven a Lotus Elise? It weighs less than 1000 kilos. It is rubbish!
After 10 years of ownership I dare to say that a f40 doesn’t feel heavy… yes brake/ clutch and steering requires energy but like any proper race car. Also Elise being rubbish…. Well…Do you track cars sometime?
Hi Guys, Are their any forum members interested in two Serial numbers of the f250 project? I spotted them during my last visit in Maranello, But i'm not a VIN collector.
“ extraordinarily high power levels (663 cv). The new Ferrari V6 sets a record of 221 hp/l for specific torque output for a production car “ To crank the 296GTB engine all the way to 1030cv from 663 sounds insane. Can the V6 3liter even handle that horsepower?
I was thinking something like 800-850cv at best from the V6 alone plus the hybrid system for a combined 1050-1150cv. That is still plenty for the new hypercar.
Starting from the last question, I do. Not as much as I used to, though. Regarding race cars, most of them come with power steering and assisted brakes nowadays. Heavy controls are a thing of the past. Even F1 cars have light steering nowadays. Haven't driven one of course, but that's what the drivers themselves say. As for the Elise, I find its steering slow, turn in sluggish and depending on the engine, it can be underpowered too. Not fond of the unassisted brakes either.
I don't believe that the V6 can go that high. You would need the 4 litre V8 for that kind of power. The electric element might be a lot more powerful though. I expect more than 1200 HP, but that's just a guesstimate.
I still get confused thinking about how the next halo will or has to be faster than the special version of the SF90 which is already absurdly fast.
@day355 says that the F250 will be not like the F50 or Enzo so expect something very extreme in terms of performance. However, there will be the 499 P « stradale » which will be more exclusive and the « ultimate » car. could we have some info about it please? @day355
V6 great news but still not enough green and eco, I would prefer V4 like this one Image Unavailable, Please Login
