LaFerrari replacement: v12, no hybrid, less power than SF90stradale?

Let's see, LaF was in close competition with 918 and P1, this time there are much faster competitors, especially concerning downforce, so the major focus will be there, hopefully they surprise the whole automotive world

 

Weight, Downforce and Braking is key to performance and overall handling improvements.

True, although there's not so much you can develop concerning road legal tyres, since 2013, it's basically being all down to: equip the latest Pirelli Trofeo R like Pagani or mount the latest Michelin Cup2 R like Porsche.

The two engines are not comparable, that of the Valkyrie is far ahead, if you like mechanics...

There is no doubt that the high-revving N/A V12 is the King of engines and that's why the Valyrie's bespoke engine is so special. This doesn't diminish the technology of the Ferrari V6 TT, which recently won the Le Mans race after all! There is nothing pedestrian about it either!

no doubt, just making the point that the valk is so extreme that the actual limiting factor is the cup2 r's, which is a bit nuts really

 

Regular Cup 2s, not Rs.The car was developed with the regular Cups, as the Rs hadn't been released yet. Aston say that it can run the generic Rs, but they would be good only for a handful of laps, since they are more akin to a qualifying tyre.

true but all benchmark laps are set with r's and aston put r's on the car when they gave it to Sport Auto when they test it on the Bahrain GP circuit (to which it set a production lap record)

That doesn’t make it a better or more advanced engine. GT40s also won Le Mans and I think their engines were nowhere near as charismatic as Ferrari V12s.
Not saying that the F250 engine is rubbish, however the engines in the Valkyrie and T50 are pretty special.

Not true. The new Ferrari hypercar may be quicker, but that won't be due to the TT V6 (if indeed it has a V6), but its overall hybrid power. The N/A V12 of the Valkyrie will surely be more powerful than a smaller turbocharged engine (as seen in the SF90 Stradale XX, for example).
