Fact or fiction? If in fact it's true-what does everybody think will happen to the LaFerrari "coupe" value? The Supercar Kids ? Ferrari LaFerrari Spider is in the Works
it is true. i know a person who has ordered the very first one. it will only have a normal combustion engine - no hybrid motor
Won't affect coupe version's value.. Well there's a million Euro return investment, it will be very sought after... Wonder what kind of roof solution it will have (most likely a soft top like the F12 special edition..).
And a ferrari california interior. And to follow the price structure of the f12/f60 america, it will cost 10 million dollars
Seems like just bespoke one? (or very limited serie?) Like mentioned just by someone 'F60 america'. I don't like the idea of LaF spyder. It is so lame approach. Like say maybe LaF 'van' :-D? LaF 'shooting brake'? ;-D LaF 'avant'? ;-) Some magazines rumoured without sense about V6 F1 engine in LaF-XX some time ago. I can say, they rumoured only to make people to read their rumours (BS). If LaF has V12 with E-motor, so complete <bang> was to write that XX can have V6 with less power etc :-D. Making such rumours was just an abuse to Ferrari cheers, I'm waiting for LaFerrari-XX. And of course for 1st non biased tests P1 vs 918 vs LaF.
I don't see this happening. The carbon-fibre tub was designed with a roof and that is an integral part of the car. Also, making a LaFerrari without the KERS system is like making a fighter jet without weapons; it defeats the whole purpose of the project!
That's never going to happen unless the cars are driven by robots, bias is inherent in every person to a lesser or greater degree.
It's certainly a good looking Spyder- to say the least- and I hope Ferrari doesn't make a La Ferrari Spyder with the objective of driving up revenue. I would rather they increase production of the La Ferrari WITHIN REASON (10%) to appease the clients that feel slighted by not getting their allocation.
News about a LaF Spider was mentioned here months ago, but as an SP version. Not a true production limited run: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143192818-post2776.html
It would not make sense for it not to have the same engine as the coupe. Most special version spiders usually have the same engine as the special version coupes except for the drop top.
thats ok. this fellow has/had 2 LaF. he described the upcoming spider as i just told you. no electric motor, only the v12, and possibly bumped up in bhp slightly. he thinks they will make 80 of them.
Why 2? I find it hard to believe they are making a limited run series... That would make the 599XX chap who's on for an SP LaF quite unhappy. Changing anything mechanical other than the top does not make sense from an economic or engineering POV. Ferrari have put such an immense effort into calibrating the hybrid drive, it makes no sense to "throw that away" and up the power of the IC engine, which would need a complete recalibration to perform adequately. The car would also need to be re-certified as more than a coachbuild.
I would be 100% skeptical under di Montezemolo mandate, but now... who knows. Undoubtedly it would contribute to high sales and hype over the brand.
Makes sense to me given many issues, not least whom would they allocate them to? Existing owners would say them, those that just missed out on a LF would say it should be us. Add in the structural issues....
Above and beyond everything else. The car was designed as a coupe and it would have to pass the homologation procedure again if the roof were to be chopped off.
Ditto. I can only echo this, there is no production LaF Spider happening. The only chance we have of seeing that, is as an SP - which might be happening.
