A lot of Lotus owners tend to take their car to the track. I'd strongly recommend against buying a car from LFSC if you're thinking about ever taking your car on the track and you expect them to back you up on warranty claims. I had a terrible experience with LFSC taking a Ferrari from them on the track last year that had problems: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=225357

On the other hand, I know that Fox Valley Motorcars stand behind their cars on or off the track. They've been a Lotus dealer since forever too. I bought a Lotus 2-11 from them in the beginning of the year and have been racing it at Autobahn all year (1700 miles!!). I had fantastic support from them on this car. At one point, when the car had a minor issue that kept it from running, they even sent down their technician on a Saturday to get us running for the weekend. They have hands-down the best service team I've ever worked with in Chicago or elsewhere.

BTW, for the record I always enjoyed dealing with the sales department at LFSC. But a good experience with a sales person doesn't go very far if you can't count on them when something goes wrong.

(No, I don't get kickbacks on any Lotus car or other marques sold from Fox Valley, just sharing good experiences when I have them and bad ones too).
